Surely someone knows where i can find at least the macadamia nuts? Should i call health food stores? They are so expensive though, it seems like macadamias would be a grocery store thing... Anyone know a good website where i can find the above items? I've done some internet searching, but i am coming up at a loss.
Thanks

Do you have a Super Walmart near you? They carry them on the snack foods aisle (candy, jerky, nuts, popcorn, etc). I think they are about $5 a can. You can get just macadamias or a mixture of those and almonds.

Oat bran, you'll find in the cereal aisle of the grocery store. It's near the wheat germs, and oatmeals. By the way, oat bran is pretty high in carbs about 20 net carbs per 2 tablespoons. So unless you are on OWL or Pre-Maintenance, oat bran won't be appropriate.

Wheat bran, you'll find either in the cereal aisle of the grocery store, the natural foods section of the grocery store or the baking section of the grocery store---it depends on the store. Wheat bran is a fiber supplement that is okay for Induction.

Soy flour, you'll find in either the baking section of the grocery store or in the natural foods section. Soy flour is ground up whole soybeans, so it's appropriate in OWL.

Macadamia nuts, you'll find in the nuts and snacks section of the grocery store, next to the peanuts, sunflower seeds etc.

I get my wheat bran at the grocery store, and it's in two aisles, with the baking and muffin mixes, and also with the oatmeals and hot cereals. I buy quaker wheat bran, comes in a green box, and it's 1.27 cdn a box. As not2late said Oat bran is fairly high in carbs. I stayed away from wheat bran even until i hit the grains run on owl.

Supersize me is avaialbe on DVD. Your local video store/blockbuster etc should have it.
Or you can order it from amazon:

Also has a website with info about the movie: http://www.supersizeme.com/home.aspx

You guys are great, thanks for this info! Yes, I am aware that i still need to be caeful on carb counts, etc even thouyh I have moved in OWL. My husband is not "doing atkins" by the book, but he is eating low carb because he wants to suppport me (he doesnt need to lose weight). He is also doing ti because he wanst to just eat low carb forever like me now. I was so surprised he would be so into it! I also have two daughter, small children, and though i dont want to cut their carbs too low since they are gropwing, i would like to keep it around 100 or so a day for them, just so they wont be on a constant sugar high. I thought i could bake low carb stuff for them so they dont notice a drastic change. When i was a kid my mother never let me have anything yummy (sugary), and when i grew up i went a litttle crazy on candy for a while. i knew she meant well though. She did let me have cocoa though. Wait no CAROB! Every once and a while, i will smell carob somewhere and it brings me back to my childhood. Ok i got a little off topic here....heading out to superwalmart, sort of a drive, but i'll probably save money there anyway.
