Default Atkins Site Sale

I just got an email from the Atkins site. They are having a big "moving sale." Everything is marked way down, and you can get some good bargains, especially on books. They even have main courses, breads, bars, shakes, etc on sale.

Thought I would pass along the info, in case someone might be interested.

Have a great day!

Moving sale...yeah right :sarcasm Must not be selling like they should. They can take those products and send them straight to :censor :mad2

I make Revolutionary Rolls twice per week and i use a muffin top pan. They are approx $15 per pan!

I went to the Atkins site a few months back and bought it there for $5.00 each. After I read this post I went back there and they are $2.99!! I bought 3 of them!

Now I can make a double or triple batch providing I keep the rolls in the frig in a zip loc bag.

Thanks for the heads up!

(The rest of the stuff they can drop in the ocean .... yuck!)

This very much worries me because at all stores around here that used to have extensive selections of atkins and low carb stuff have cut back DRAMATICALLY. Are less people going low carb/Atkins now??

I never bought their stuff any way!! As long as there are meats and veggies and low-glycemic fruits and whole grains available everywhere, I'm set!

Who needs this stuff?

I am glad they are getting rid of that crap and off the shelves. Dr. Atkins said it best, he said, "foods that are naturally low-carb are always best."

What is funny, its those products that cause less people to eat the atkins way. Why? because they end up hardly losing and giving away to sugar cravings lol....its kinda ironic.

I do think the atkins thing peaked here a long time ago... (judging just by the amount of bars/shakes etc. available...)... even the health/vitamin stores have cut way back...

I think it's a lot of misconception about stuff....and now the Zone and South Beach are all the rage...

one thing I don't understand though....

so many believe that if Dr. Atkins said it ... then it MUST be gospel.... so why the huge backlash against HIS products..... they were around and actually MORE prevalent a few years back....

and in the book, he DOES say it's ok to use in moderation.. and something like 'he stands behind any product with his name on it'....

so... why is it that SOME things he said are carved in stone.... but the part about the 'frankenfoods'.... isn't?

and I DO agree that natural ... real food is BEST.....

but I guess I'm just not as strong willed as I should be..... because I can't live without.. or choose NOT to have to live without.... some 'treats'...

as for the sale.. somebody link me to anything that's 75% off....

(the only thing I really really LOVE once in a while is the Endulge wafer mint thing... like 2 little kitkat stix or something.. but they're no cheaper when you include the shipping than at the grocery store....)

so.... point me to something cheap.. I might try it.. ensive

I thought the recipe books would be helpful. I haven't ordered anything from the site, because I can get books from the library branch very close to me, and I prefer not to use the pre-packaged stuff.

Altho, they did have the choloate essence, and some other spice items I thought might be good.

I have noticed here too, that the LC market seems to be fading. Everyone jumped on the proverbial bandwagon, marketed a bunch of stuff that was AWFUL and I think it hurt the market as a whole. My hubby likes the EAS AdvanEdge Low Carb bars, and I used to buy them in massive quantities from Wal-Mart, because they were much cheaper there. Now they are down to about 2 flavors (the two he eats, luckily) and they seem to be jumping on the bandwagon again for The Zone and South Beach, etc., as there are TONS of those bars on the shelves. I don't see much Atkins stuff anymore - maybe it not only tasted bad, but was TOO EXPENSIVE???

Oh well..........I prefer to have control over what goes into my food and into me, for that matter. Not big on the artificial flavorings and preservatives and general weird chemicals that make up the packaged items.
