| Well, if it just involves a blood test, most will be covered by insurance probably, with some out-of-pocket cost. My doc made me have a thyroid uptake at the hospital. This was not covered until your deductible is met. So, I had to pay $500. Are you having any other symptoms that make you think of thyroid issues? For instance, leg cramps, fatigue, heart palpitations? Just wondering. Even if you don't have your thyroid checked, maybe it would be useful to see your doc and discuss your slow weight loss concerns. Not much help, sorry.

| Possibly, but one of the first places I'd look were I in your position is the number of calories you're eating a day. Bottom line is that if you're eating more calories than you're burning - regardless of what foods you're eating- you're not going to lose. If what you're doing isn't working, then cutting carbs and/or calories as well as figuring out if you're eating anything you don't react well with is where I'd look. Thyroid testing couldn't hurt though. ~Brook

| check your temp first thing in the morning when you get up before you get out of bed and see if it is subnormal. i f so then you could be hypothyroid toherwise Go with what brook said. if it contimnues to be an uissue check with your doc and let them decide what tests you need to see if you are healthy bundling the blood tests makes them cost less.
