| Those are the "sugar alcohols" (things usually ending in 'lose' on the ingredients) which do not elevate blood sugar. During induction, you should not be eating any of those advantage bars anyway, so put those away for now.

| They are playing tricks by not counting the sugar alcohol carbs in the net carbs. They may not affect blood sugar as much but the body does digest them and they can stall weight loss. Not as much as their equivalent in sugar but some. |

| I agree with Iapetus 100%. Atkins' company said not to count them, so they can make $ selling them to you.... and look what happened to the company. The original books said you should count them. And you SHOULD, because your body has to digest them. They don't raise your blood sugar. Fine. Neither does brocholli, but you still count those carbs (minus the fiber). If you're going to eat them I would definitely count them.
