| This is a 4 phase lifetime plan. You'll do much better if you work your way through the 4 phases in order to prepare for a lifetime of successful maintenance. Your food choices will be great and you will enjoy this plan a whole lot better! And YOU WILL MAKE THIS THE WAY YOU EAT FOREVER and never have to worry about gaining it back!! Betty

| Dr Atkins said those who do all 4 phases are the ones who are the least likely to regain the lost weight. Think of the phases as parts of your house of Atkins. Induction is the foundation and while it is great to have a sound foundation if you spend all your time on the foundation the framing done in OWL and the roofing done in premaintnenance will not be too sturdy and succeptible to falling down around you as you tire to use maintnenance as your finnishing work for a safe life time spent living at goal weight in your house of Atkins. Now if you lay a solid foundation with a cheat free by the book 14 day induction and then spend many weeks testing those OWL rungs as the timbers for the framing and the foods on each rung as the cross ties you will have erected a sturdy frame to hold up that roof. Inspect those frames well for any defects that could cause your craving controls to falter and understand how each will effect you as everybody has a different response to foods on each rung. The slowly add that roof taking the time Dr Atkins says to take practicing carefully using all the rungs and foods in slightly increasing amounts to be sure your roof will not spring a leak when you move in at maintenance as depending upon how big those leaks are you could end up back where you started with no loss or just a partial loss to show for all your hard work and time spent working your previous Atkins house. It took me 34 months to finish my house of Atkins but it is standing tall right now through some pretty tough times with emotional food storms raging around me. I'm moved in and staying right comfy in my Atkins low carb house. you can too this time. happy low carbing

| 2Big and Betty are right. Atkins is a way of life not just a diet for the short term. I've been on many diets in my life, lost some weight, but always gained it all but plus more. Now I have a long road to travel back to health and fitness. I wish I found Atkins at your age. Building your Atkins house could be the best thing you do for yourself. I wish you luck.
