| http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ighlight=curry (10 min curry) Bengal Shrimp Curry -posted by Ana Ingredients: 1 lb shrimp 1 T olive oil 1 T curry powder 1/2 cup onion, chopped 1 tomato, chopped 1/4 cup water Sauté onions in a little oil, sprinkle with curry powder. Stir in tomato and sauté few minutes. Add shrimp, stir to coat evenly. When shrimp is done (few minutes), pour in water and stir. Serves 2 @ 8 carb (6 NET carbs) I found a couple others on the internet googling curry recipes, but these, since they are on the ADBB, are Atkins friendly. I need to feed the others into fitday to see how they come out. |

| yep just about any food in the right serving size can look low carb like sugar is 16 cals a teaspoon so that would only be 4 carbs regular milk is only 1.5 carbs per ounce but as we learn from reading our DANDR there are good carbs and bad carbs and carbs that are from sugar with little nutrient value or that can spike bllod sugars because of the rapid absorable rate are not what we want to be eatting inorder to control our cravings to give us the best results. there are some very good curry recipes in the curry thread you can look at in the cooking chat board that should be induction friendly. Happy low carbing.

| not2late: I'm not sure what you were referring to, but coconut milk is definitely not high carb, gosh even in a large serving, it's pretty low-carb! Well, here's the label of my coconut milk: per 1/3 cup serving 120 calories, 100 fat fat 11g carbs 2g fiber 0g protein 1g Ingredients: Coconut, water, guar gum, potassium metabisulfite (preservative). The front of the can even says "LOW CARB" Unsweetened Juice of Coconut Meat. Anyway, it does look like I can have it in the nut rung, and I'll be thrilled to pieces when I get there Kimberly |
