Question Splenda Limit

I keep hearing that you are only allowed (3) servings of Splenda a day. I have read the book twice and can fine no reference to this. Also, what is considered a serving?

If you have the 2002 DANDR it should be on page 128. There's more info there. In the book it says "No more than 3 packets a day." if you're not using packets I'm not sure. I always have because they're convienent. I'm sure someone that does know will be able to answer better than I.

It takes at least 3 or 4 before you notice that you've even put some in your tea or whatever!

Thats exactly part of the problem, PrinceJeff. If you're THAT desensitized to sweet - and splenda is WAY sweeter than sugar, then it's time to clean that palate! lol

If you're not careful you'll overuse splenda. I realized that when I started drinking the juices and sodas with Splenda, when it boils down to it, you can only have one 8-ounce glass a day..meaning no tea in the morning...ahhh, it's confusing, that's why I try to stay away from it, and drink water

Default Re: Splenda Limit

servings are determined by the serving listed on the nutritional label which is on every food in the US, Like those sodas some might be drinking not knowing water is better hint hint. The serving size is 8 ounces and a can is 12 ounces so the can is 1.5 of your 3 servings.
And remember it is a sweetner limit not just a Splenda limit so if you use some other sweetner too it is the combination of all that is limited to only 3 servings a day.

I have to avoid it. It acts like sugar to me.
