| I'll be brave and take a shot at it Well I don't know the scientific answer (where's 2big when you need her) but i would think that exercise is definately going to help as you need to burn off any glucose that the carbs from cheat created (your body would switch from burning glucose rather than fat). the best way to do this i would think would be with aerobic exercise. Drinking water is generally good for you cheat or no cheat..so yes drinking water helps too I'd think it would depend on what the cheat was, and your CCLL and whether it knocked you out of ketosis? the above is assuming that it was a big cheat and did. Now anyone else can feel free to correct me or jump in anytime..

| Well I think we need more information....how long was the cheat...what foods did you cheat with? How much of these foods did you eat? How long ago was the cheat? |

| I am no angel and seem to fall off the wagon once a month on average. Although I get right back on I usually gain 3 to 7 pounds. They say its water, whatever it is, it takes me almost one full week of drinking enough water that i could float, and walking walking walking before I see the scale number I was at before that nasty cheat. Why do i do it to myself every month? I feeling of wanting to get all my cravings over with in one day maybe, a feeling of being deprived of my favorite foods...I KNOW I shouldn't, and I'm so good all month long til then. Anyway, I just find it takes about a week of hard work to undo what a day of cheating does. |

| Starmaker! OMG, I could have written your post in this last year! I did the same danged thing. A cheat every month, and then 2+ weeks to undo the damage. All the time I was exercising and I could have done so much better! Why do we do that to ourselves, people? Why do we think we're not worth being healthy and happy? What's eating us so that we eat everything? There's no excuse. We know better. there's not much advice I can give you, Pie. You have to want this for yourself. You're worth it! Do you hear? Don't make me come over there... In the meantime, try L-Carnitine for cravings, u8p your fat intake, drink a lot of water, make sure your exercise...and be prepared for the cravings, because they'll bit your fanny! You've got to be strong, girl.
