| WHat is a daily menu now be totally Honest we want to help you but, I am thinking you have the dreded carb creep wher you up your carbs more then you thought. This happens to a lot as they loosen their grips on their WOE and just let it slide. We need to know where you are at and what you are doing to be of real help here. I think first off you should probably start counting your carbs that is a big one, You have a fair bit to lose so being on extended induction or just going on Induction for 14 days may help you get in control again then you can start up the ladder again. Maybe a littel slower this time. Big question areyou exercising it's soo important to exercise on this WOL. It helps build lean Body mass so that you can burn off more of what you eat, it also kicks out those happy endorphins that make you feel good, It's soo important. I hope you can help us out with a nice big daily menu for the last few days. Sarah

| I think it is highly unlikely you aren't in ketosis. Buy the ketostix and check your urine if you are concerned about it. Just know that it is perfectly normal for weight loss to slow down and fluctuate on this WOE. The pounds may not melt away but the inches will. I can't emphasize this enough. I had a plateau of 185 - 190 for over 3 months. The scale didn't budge. But I STILL went from a size 22 to a size 16. I don't care of the scale tells me I weigh 800 pounds, if I'm zipping up a pair of size 16 jeans. It sounds to me like you just aren't eating enough food. If you are hungry thats a neon sign you aren't eating enough food. No one should ever be hungry on Atkins. Thats the glory of it. If you are hungry, by all means eat. If you aren't eating enough - eat more! If you have finished induction, and you are bored and restless it is time to move onto owl and start working the levels. Personally, I have found that if I am eating absolutely everything that I am allowed to eat on Atkins I am never bored. There is just such an abundance of meat and fish and egg dishes, so many veggies, and cheeses...how could I be bored? Everyday is a smorgasborg of choices. I would start examining your menus to see if there is something you are denying yourself. Your body will not release its fat stores if it is being denied a sense of fullness, and mental satisfaction. Are you getting your butter? Your cheese? Some meat fat? Some whipping cream? Some crunchy veggies like jicama? That chemical signal is so critical. It lets your palate and your brain feel pampered. Your body deserves to be pampered. I love how I am able to eat so many good foods with no guilt whatsoever. I never have to diet again. That is so powerful. I never have to diet again! I just can't imagine going back to being a carb junkie when this WOL is so much more fun. Many people at the ADBB have actually found their weight loss slowed down and then picked up again after moving into OWL and adding more food choices. You have to experiment to find out what works for you. Please don't give up. Give up doubt instead. I don't think flax, or pork rinds, or a small portion of any condiment is a problem. Eat and be merry!

I would very much recommend switching up to OWL. Your siggy mentions you have only 18 lbs to go? Get into OWL! in fact your supposed to lose the last 5 -10 lbs or so on pre-maintenance anyway. So get on those rungs! I know it can be a little scary but I'm sure you'll love it soon enough. Keep it going! |

| Thank you all so very much for all your help and suggestions. I think I am going to go back to induction and back to writing down, measuring and counting my carbs. I was about ready to toss in the towel, but you have all inspired me to continue on. I am very bored with my food, so I am going to check out some of the induction recipes. I get so tired of eggs, cheese and meat with my three cups of veggies. I have tried Jimaca and love it. No more nuts. Can I still eat this cereal on Induction? It is made by Low Carb Success, it is an instant hot cereal. Ingredients are Wheat Bran, Flax Seed Meal, Soy Protein Isolate (in that order) It has 13 g carbs with 12 g fiber no sugars? I love this stuff. I usually have 1 cup which is 4 g carbs. What do you think? Oh I have the keotis strips and they never turn color for me

| I highly recommend moving up the ladder and watching your carbs with fitday. I have lost a minimum of 13 pounds since starting the ladders (can't find my chart so may be a pound or two more). Also flax is limited on induction. And both flax and pork rinds are very calorie dense....I know you are not to to count calories...but if you are eating an abundance of them they will make an impact. I wouldn't be as successful as I am being if I did not use fitday everyday!

| I'm pretty sure Wheat Bran is not on the acceptable food list for induction. You can have flax seed, up to 2 tbsp a day..alot of folks mix it w/ water and nuke it for a hot cereal if that's what you like.

| dynaglider, Carb creep is so easy to happen on this plan. 1) I agree, go back and do induction until you lose that first pound or inch..... 2) Check out the Second Time Around Club or the Century Club, it really doesn't matter if your don't qualify for either, they are very helpful and will help you keep on track 3) Post some of your menus as the experts might see something your doing wrong 4) Use fitday and maybe you will see what your doing wrong 5) Add another 10 minutes to your exercise weekly goal 6) Keep posting and reading and asking questions |
