| Steph It is very important that you eat. You need to keep your blood sugars stable as well as not let your body go into starvation mode. You dont have to eat a lot just eat something legal and do it no longer than every 6 waking hours. You need to eat to jumpstart that metabolism in the morning and refuel it thruout the day. I hear you though because when I am deeply in ketosis I have to really work at making myself eat that first meal of the day. EAT!!!!!@ |

| Try and eat some more carb (like salad) with your food. It will, to some extent, kick your blood sugar into wanting more. Also, exercise (if you're not already doing it) is a natural appetitie stimulant. Also, try not drinking with your meals, or limit what you drink. Filling your stomach with fluids isn't getting nutrients into you.

| Thanks for your advice! I'll try to go eat something now, but I literally will be forcing myself. I've never had this problem before. Sure, Ive not had an appetite, but I've always been able to eat if I pushed myself hard enough.

| Well, I managed three bites of a piece of steak. I guess that's better than nothing, and I'm definitely full now!

| Sweetie - I've been there before and usually just eat a side salad with some cheese or one egg. It's ok to have 3 bites of steak - just make sure you are eating something every 6 hrs, like they said and make sure to squeeze in a bite of veggie. In my experience, you may feel like this for a while, but there should be a day or two where you want to eat a little more than you have been and that is OK.

| Dr Atkins talked about having to make yourself eat that was why he put in the six hour rule. so you have a bit of carb fat and protein try to select calorie and nutritonally dense foods like cream cheese spinach stuffed chicken where you are getting good fats, proteins, cals and vits and mineral from your veggie too.
