| OMG SFS!! Could you be any tinier? Are you shrinking? You look great. You are such an inspiration and I love your website. Well, now that I've finished sucking up......(for what, I don't know - I don't think I need any favours of any kind....) We won't have turkey again til Christmas, but thanks for the ideas.

| I cooked a 15lb turkey and I'm up to my eyeballs in turkey. Keep the ideas coming I'm hopeless when it comes to figuring out clever ways for leftovers! Good thread Sheila!

| I wish you could send me the turkey. I love turkey. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in the Philippines and turkey is expensive since it has to be imported.

| Turkey fajitas and mexican turkey salads - I literally could eat either of these 3 meals a day. The exact seasoning mix doesn't really matter, but for me it's salt, black pepper, ground chili pepper, garlic powder, chipotle peppers, and of course cumin. There is simply no better use for Turkey.

| I love turkey! Trying to think of some more ideas for meals and snacks ... Robbie, I understand that turkey is a little on the expensive side there. When was the last time you bought one? Maybe purchasing just a turkey breast would make the price more reasonable? My husband and I only prefer white meat, so this is really the only kind I ever get. Plus, it is so much lower-maintenance, and in my opinion, easier to clean and prepare. Can I just say that after first removing it from the oven, the skin is just to die for! My husband gives me his. Off-Topic P.S: LadyInRed, I have not lost any scale-weight. However, in the past year, I doubled my resistance training by incorporating more body parts. (There's always room here & there for improvement!) Though I kept my eating/carb levels exactly the same as always, continued to do the same amount & intensity of walking for cardio as I have since the age of 10, and though my body weight remained the same, I dropped a dress size. That said, I cannot recommend resistance training enough for firming up and dropping a little bit of unnecessary body fat. Why the Scale Lies

| Hello my Sheila whose the Bees Knees! I love shredding the meat, reheating it with a titch of cumin, chili powder and pepper, and then serving it on a bed of lettuce as a mexican chipless nacho dish! I will add some shredded cheese, jalapanos, tomatoes, black olive slices and a little salsa on top and it's something I really enjoy eating! I love reading everyone's ideas! Thanks so much for starting this thread, pixie!

| Soup is good, especially in the cold. Shread some turkey and combine it with your favorite vegetables (diced up, of course), whichever seasonnings you like and some water. Or, you could make some broth if you still have the bones and all that. Just let it boil for a bit. Yum. I just read your post again and realized that you already said this. Oh well :P Great minds think alike. |
