For example, the strawberry spread would be okay during the Berry Rung of the OWL Phase. I don't know what's in the dipping sauce, so I can't comment on that. As for the sugar alcohols....They have different effects on people: Some people stall whenever they use them. Others don't. Some people get diarrhea and/or stomach cramps. Some people don't.

| Hi Castor. Are you still on induction or have you moved on? If you are on induction you really should avoid all sweets, even artificially sweetened things. You want to kill your sweet tooth. If you are really craving sweets you should eat something high in fat like cheese, tuna with mayo, devilled eggs or else have a pickle. Once you've gone the full 2 weeks of induction without any sweets at all, you won't be craving them anymore. Aside from that, the products you are describing are devoid of any nutrients. Feed your body something that's good for it and it will be very happy.

| My husband dubs Sorbee "Sorb-poot." But it's been a long time since I had my favorite thing they make, and I see it is now made with Splenda and maltitol does not wreck my system the way some other sugar alcohols do. Maybe I'll give this another shot sometime!

| The Swiss Chalet dipping sauce contians: cornstarch, salt tomatopowder, chicken fat, dextrose. It is a powder that you add water to. The breakdown is: carbs/glucides: 3 g 1% and that's it. |

Destrose is SUGAR! so of course its also a no no The easiest way to determine if something is ok or not is to check the ingredients, if all of them aren't listed in the acceptable foods list in DANDR then its very easy to determine that the food is not acceptable!

| NO NO NO NO. The strawberry stuff is for LATER ... the maltitol is reserved for folk who enjoy gastric distress .. Cornstarch is never okay. Betty

| Ok, so the Swiss Chalet is definitely out. As for the malitol, I just found that out by a terrible mistake. The strawberry, stuff, etc. is for later. I was actually looking for pancake syrup by Sobee?? or is it Sorbee?, Anyway, I didn't find it, but ran across sthese items, that I thought could be useful later on down the road. |
