where are you in your Atkins? if you are early it could be your body switching over and this tiredness is part of induction flu symptoms.

Atkins is a natural diuretic and many folk lose electrolytes and water soluble vits and minerals too that causes tiredness. Are you supplementing your Atkins with the stuff you need based on your eating habits? www.fitday.com has a reports section that will show you if you are lacking in any RDA vit or mineral from the foods you logged if you are tracking your foods on that free site.

if you are over the induction flu then it could be from not eating enough as Dr Atkins advises those doing the plan who are tired or fastigued to eat more.

remember too that not everything in your life is caused by your Atkins just as not every thing happenening to you was cauased by your old way of eating.

Only day 6 of induction now but i only really got 'induction flu' in the first couple of days with headaches and dizziness. I havent beent taking any supplements. And well tbh i ate frigging loads today.....

I had:

2 eggs for breakfast
(0 carbs?)

4 Sausages + 2 bacon for lunch
Totalled 3.8 carbs

and had some prawns with mayo (total 3 carbs)
also had something like 40 grams pork scratchings
Also ate 1 Raw tomato

Im really not hungry atall now so doubt ill have more than a snack (maybe a deviled egg) for the rest of the day. (6pm now)

for drinks i had 5 pints of water (5x12 oz) and 2 cups of decaf earl grey with 1 teaspoon splenda + 1 teaspoon double cream in each, its amazing how good 1 teaspoon of double cream does at replacing milk actually.

well ylou are still in early Atkins and your body has to build up the supplies it needs to become an effecient fat burner.

your fluid intake is low at 60 ounces of water. check out the FAQ about why we need water to lose weight and get busy drinking. right now you are dehydrating and don't know it fatigue is a symptom of that too.

supplements are a must because of our poor food choices. figure out what you need besides a go quality multi vit and mineral. You doctor can tell you exactly what you need after looking at your blood tests and your food logs.

Appetite suppression is a wonderful Atkins ketosis side effect.

get a copy of DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVOLUTION 2002 EDITION and read it cover to cover then read chapter 11 again cause you are not eating Atkins with that menu. 3 cups of veggies from the acceptable list a day is needed too and we eat some of those vegie carbs at every meal so you are getting the octane grade you need every time you fuel up for mostr effcient burning.

Happy low carbing.

I know its not that many veggies today i normally have the right amount tho, and my day isnt over yet i might stir fey 2 cups worth of peppers/mushrooms Problem is i cant eat enough at the moment if i eat 3 cups of veggies and a little meat through the day, then my fat to protien ratio is screwed.

Have you read the sticky about how to add/tweak your fats to get your ratios right?
How much fat do I need to eat?
You will see it doesnt take much.

BTW your eggs are about .6 carbs per medium egg!
