| You need to see your doctor! I have a condition called Barrett's Esophogus because I let it go for so long! Its nothing to mess with, you can end up dying from cancer of the esophogus! If you are eating antacids everyday you really need to go to the Dr's!

| I have to agree with MoG. Frequent heartburn and acid reflux normally clear up very quickly after starting on the Atkins WOE. The fact that yours has returned does suggest that there may be another cause outside of your diet. I, too, strongly urge you to see your doctor. Best of luck. I hope you feel better real soon!

| ohhhhh I went though that. The first time I was on Atkins, I sailed through the first 8 weeks and then BAM!!!! Heartburn like I couldn't believe. It was so bad that I began to wonder if I could stay on Atkins. What worked for me??? Peppermint tea. It seemed to ease the discomfort, then over a couple of weeks the heartburn disappeared completely. I think it was just my body adjusting.
