| You don't declare your height SBC, and only you know what your loose fitting shirt is hiding. I wrote the FAQ on goal weights It's here: What should my goal weight be? Run your figures through http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm and see what it says. Run it again assuming you are still 235lb and make the comparison - the "ideal weight" is a moving pschological target, but if you are within the medical limits you have some thinking to do. Read the various linked pages on the ideal weight site. It realy is a very personal choice constrained by some serious practical issues. Do you want the six pack, or would you like to stay a little bit cuddly? What can you maintain in the long term at a particular activity level and calorific input? Post again with your height and the output from http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm and a few of us can chat about it. Reveal yourself in shorts and no Tee Shirt, if you are so minded! (I have an advantage over you - as an Episcopalian, I wear mre robes in Church!)

| My rule of thumb is never to base your weight on other people's opinions. Most people actually get intimidated by someone thinner that they are! What you weigh isn't as important as how you look and feel .. the more muscle you carry, the higher your weight on the scale, but you will appear more sleek and toned. Personally, I prefer the sleek toned look! Do what's right FOR YOU! Congratulations on your success! Betty

| And I agree with Betty - as I said - only you know what's under the shirt, how determined you are, and how much time you can devote to excercise.

| I am not looking for a six pack by any means. I would like to be at a healthy size and be able to stay there. I think I am going to keep pushing and see if I can get to atleast 175 and maybe even 170. I jog about 2 miles 3-4 times a week and would like to get up to 3 miles 3-4 times a week. I also have been doing about 80-100 push ups a day.
