| Post a menu? One of us would be happy to critique it in accordance with Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution.

| PUT AWAY THE SCALE! Do not weigh until your 14 days are up. 6lbs so far is great. Take your tape measure out and measure then compare that in a month. Just follow the rules and you will loose.

Seriously different people lose weight at different speeds. One of the mods that we used to have on the board, didnt lose anything in the first 2 weeks of induction, yet still made it to goal. Honestly, you have nothing to worry about. I understand how down you must be feeling about it, but 6 pounds in a week is still good Rich

| Lots of weirdo things can happen when you're on this diet, especially in the first two weeks, so put that scale away, and don't sweat the day to day stuff. Take some time to read the stickies in this forum and the 14 Day Induction forum especially. Here's one that addresses your concern: (Weight loss is not linear)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5090 It's a long journey, this weight loss, and lots of things can and will happen. Relax, follow the Rules of Induction, eat properly from the Acceptable Foods list, exercise and trust that Dr. Atkins knew what he was talking about. All the best to you! |

| My weight loss comes in spurts. I lost five pounds in the first 3 days and then steady for a week almost, then 4 more pounds. Your body will do some strange things during induction. Just keep at it and the weight will drop. Rick |

| Weigh to go you have lost 6 whole pounds in 6 days. Have you ever lost an average of a pound a day on any weight loss program and not been hungry? bet not. without even seeing your menus I can tell you the new to you exercise program will have you retsaining fluid as it does every humanbeing. As you continue to do your workouts your muscles will learn this new to them load is really their normal load ( right now they are genetically programmed to think you are in danger cause nobody loads muscle s for fun Happy low carbing.

| I think your menu looks fine. (I would check the ingredients on the whipped cream, however -- there may be some hidden sugar.) Stick with it -- it WILL work!

| I've seen the 0carb whipped cream and it is fine just temember it is 0 carb for their given on the can serving size and could really be as high as .499999999999 so son't go wild with it. Have you plugged your foods into www.fitday.com cause you look a bit low fat there. 65% of your total cals should be fats either palin or in mixed sources like a fat piece of meat. the jello may or may not be a stalling agent for you as they as sweetened with aspartame and 25% of the folk complaining to Dr Atkins about not cheating and eating stuff sweetened with it were stalled because of it. Once it was gone they lost. On Atkins we eat when we are hungry so if you are hungry at 10PM eat. don't worry about thos don't eat after a certain hour folk. Dr Atkins didn't tell you not to on his plan. Oh how much water is in those bottles of yours? tiy need at least 64 ounces plus 8 more ounces for every 25 pounds over weight you are as just the minimum amount. read the FAQ on why we need water to lose weight and you will gladly be chugging it down. Happy low carbing.
