| Oil, Vinegar, Salt and pepper. Honestly, I usually don't use much dressing. I try to have a salad with some meat and I'll use the juice from the meat or something. Yeah, I'm weird! :P |

| We've used Newman's Own Italian and his Caesar dressing for salads and for marinating meats. I'm a big fan of all the Kraft Ranch dressings (regular, pepper and three cheese) for dressings or as dips. I'll make my own occasionally but I don't seem to have a great talent for it...lol I do like mixing mayo, red wine vinegar and splenda and putting that broccoli/bacon/red onion/celery/shredded cheddar cheese...mmmmmmm |

| Ranch is my old standby. I love Hidden Valley the most and like it when I make it at home but often just don't have the time. I LOVE Newman's Own dressings - especially the Caesar. The creamy Caesar is great too! I also like Bernstein's parmesan dressings - they have a few different ones. My MIL has a recipe for homemade Blue Cheese Dressing that is AWESOME! She basically takes red wine vinegar and mixes it with oil, adds a few spices like a little basil or just a little pepper, then adds fresh Blue Cheese then sugar - but of course we'll use Splenda for that. It is supposed to be a sweeter type dressing so sweeten to taste. Hmmm - poppyseeds would be a great additive in it.

| Ranch.. I've always loved it. I have a bottled one right now, but the restaurant I used to work for made Hidden Valley from the packet and I LOVE it. I keep meaning to make some, but never get around to it. Slimndown.. Do you know if Newman's Own creamy caesar tastes anything like Wendy's? I love the caesar dressing they give you with the caesar side salad.

I use Good Season's Garlic & Herb dressing mix. Instead of using vinegar, water and oil, though, I use just vinegar and oil. Measure and put in as much Heinz Salad Vinegar as the instructions say for "vinegar". Then put in as much Heinz Salad Vinegar as the instructions say for "water". Pour in the dressing mix, stir a little. Then add as much Extra Virgin Olive Oil as the instructions say for "oil". Mix and let sit for about 10 minutes. Shake before using. This dressing is exceptionally good with a greek style salad (green leaf lettuce, roma tomatoes, cukes and feta cheese). |
