| My understanding is that you can do induction as long as you'd like. People will argue with you that it's simply not necessary but, if the cravings are there, then it's probably a good idea. Some people decide to do a 'modified induction' and go to 30 carbs a day, while continuing to eat the same foods. |

| If you have a substantial amount of weight to lose you can stay on it for six months or more. When you are within 15-20 pounds of your goal you need to start working your way up the rungs of OWL (Ongoing Weight Loss) so that when you reach your goal you are fully educated on how to maintain this way of eating for life. What I did was to stay on Induction for five months and then I moved onto the first runt of OWL, which is an additional 5 carbs of vegetables. I was happy to stay there for some time, as I really enjoy my veggies. Nothing is set in stone and you can progress along at your own rate, but remember that Induction is not the be-all end-all of the diet. It serves a purpose, but you will also lose weight in OWL. |

| I was wondering the same thing so thanks Moochiecat (love that name!) for the response. I am definitely going longer than 14 days on induction.
