| My Bob's Red Mill ground flax has per 2T: 4g carbs and 4g fiber. Shouldn't raise BG.

| If you are buying it ready ground it ought to say on the packets what the carb count is, so use the manufacturer's figures. If you are buying the seeds and grinding them it is a bit more complicated as www.fitday.com doesnt seem to have counts for ground flax (linseed) - just for the whole seeds. It has one Tablespoon of flax seeds as containing : 4.11 grams of carbs minus fibre of 3.35 grams, making a net carb count of 0.76 grams I find that one flat tablespoon of the linseeds I buy turns into about 1.5 flat tablespoons when I have ground it (I like it coarsely ground) so if I use 6 flat tablespoons of my ground linseed I count it as 4 flat tablespoons of whole seeds when entering recipes into fitday.
