I would toss that book out. Frankenfood isn't good for you. Buy a copy of the DANDR (2002 edition) and read it. Thats the book to use. Good luck and congratulations on changing your life with atkins!

A lot of people on the site will tell you that those Atkins bars give them the runs, really bad, I mean really bad, can't get off the toilet all day bad....I had to find out the hard way, it wasn't fun, and they don't taste very good either....anyway, how about some nice cheese? a deviled egg? there is a really good web site for recipies http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/index.html Linda's Low Carb Recipies that I use often. You can get your carbs in without eating that scary frakenfood. Good Luck! Chriss

Default Re: Question!!!

remember you do not have to eat 20 net carbs YOu have to stay under 20 net carbs. you have to get at least 1/2 of your carbs from your 3 cups of veggies so pick wisely.

Also rememeber eggs cheese, sauces, spices and herbs all have carbs too.

many folk here use the free www.fitday.com site to track thier foods and carbs. whe havwe some stickies telling you how to do it if you need help.

Hi there

As others have been saying here, read the 2002 version of DANDR and especially chapter 11 on Induction. That'll give you the kickstart you really need. Ditch the bars as they really are NOT a good idea. Your body will thank you later for giving it real food instead of processed things.

Drink your water, take your multivitamins and do some exercise. Add in your planned meals and the weight will come off.

I had a major stall last year because I was eating bars and chocolates - that isn't happening now and I can feel the weight coming off.

Best wishes

Deborah
