Exclamation What to do when you just don't want to

Today, I just don't want to count and measure and worry that I am gonna go over..............Last night at work was eventful and I didn't get home til late....I was starving!! but I just won't eat at night......then I had to open this morning! I am so tired! Today, everytime the door opened I smelled french fries.....today coming out of the grocery it was Chinese (my fave)......I even let the kids just eat lunch at school today cause I just had/have no energy to make their meal.

No I am sitting here, dinner is cooking (steak in mushroom soup gravy), and I am binging on Captain Morgan and Diet Coke.....I just want to lay on the couch and veg til I sleep.......but no............gotta finish dinner, do laundry, go over homework.......I just feel so overwhelmed right now!

Love ya, Jessi

Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles....
A fresh pot of coffee you didn't make yourself.
An unexpected phone call from an old friend.
Green stoplights on your way to work.
The fastest line at the grocery store.
A good sing-along song on the radio.
Your keys right where you left them.

skipping the captain morgan might have been a better option to feeling better. How about involving the kids in making dinner a few nights a week to releive some of that stress and while they are helping fix dinner they could help fix lunch for tomorrow too. veggie washing and fixing is somethinhg most kids can do. same for their fruit and spreading bread for sandwiches if that is the fasre they consume is pretty child friendly too. And just think whikle that is all going on you can talk with them and get your mind off work and the fries and have some quality time with them too.

thanks guys! looking back on that i sounded pretty whiny.......my "binging" on Morgan's was 3 drinks, then I gave it to my husband

we went to bed super early, and i feel sooooooooooooooooooooooo much better this morning........i think i was in a manic at work all day and when i got home (and stopped moving) i just crashed and burned......events from the day before were just really on my mind and everyone at work was asking me and i can't say anything that i know.......and for big mouth me, that was hard

i know i didn't get enough water either! when i work 9-5 i have a hard time gettin it in during the day......1 get 2 15's and a 45 min break......when i am workin nights i have 3 bottles in by 5.....any tips on that? (i can't have water on the floor)

(btw, i am a customer service coordinator at a retail store)

Yeah, we all have had days like that. Thats why it is so important to make your WOE become a HABIT. Then, you just do it. You don't put thought into it. Just like when you have to go to work and wish you had the day off. You still go to work and usually end up happy you went after you got there. I still have days when I dread the exercise (in rainy and snowy weather) but afterwards I am happy I did.

Making sure you exercise everyday, take your vitamins and drinking lots of water really does help you feel less tired. There are many days when I only get 4-5 hours sleep and I feel like I've slept 8-10 hours. Try to keep your mental attitude in a positive mode about your WOE and you'll feel less rebellious about it. maybe you could point out to your HR folk that hydration effects performance and they will change that policy to make sure all the employees are fully hydrated so they are more energized and calmer too.

Although I don't have those problems I'm sure we've all felt a similar stress The most important thing to remember when you're down in the dumps is that the only place you have left to go is up up up ^^ No matter how stressful something might seem a goodnight's sleep will definitely make things look better.
