Unhappy 3 Week Stall-any Advice????

This is my 4th week of induction and my 3rd week at the same weight. Is there something I should be doing to get me out of this stall?I have eaten exactly as I should, drank tons of water and have now limited my diet splenda soda to one can per day(big drop from 4).Would one drink do that, even thou its splenda and allowed during induction? Also, I have the atkins essentials book, and it allows me 10 olives a day.I dont always eat them but have over the last few days.Is that in the Dandr book too?Heres what I ate yesterday

Breakfast:

2 poached eggs
2 thin slices of cooked ham
bottle water

lunch:

10 terryaki chicken wings (1carb per 5)=2carbs
1/2cup cucumber
1/2cup peppers
2tbsc carb free caesar dressing(for dipping)
bottle water

snack:
bottle water

dinner:
2 all beef patties (one child size, one normal)
2 slices of cheddar(thin)
2 cups lettuce
1 tbsp real bacon bits
1/2 tbsp parmesean cheese
1tbsp carb free caesar dressing
bottle water

snack:
10 olives
1 can diet orange crush m/w splenda

This is all I had yesterday, yet no weight loss yet.

What am I doing wrong?
Did anyone else have a good first week and than nothing after that even thou your still doing induction?

Any advice would be well appreciated........I need to get this weight off to fit back into all my summer clothes.

hi diva, im not an expert on menus, but if i could hazard a guess, you may be experiencing post induction stall syndrome. It's very very common for people a few weeks into induction. Here is a link that should help. Stick to the plan, weight will start moving down again soon

PISS-Post Induction Stall Syndrome- a reality to be expected

Well, I had a two week 'stall' where the scale didn't move. I think it was PISS (did you read that thread?) and the fact that I was eating a lot of pork rinds. Once I cut them out, the scale did start moving again. There is sugar in terryaki sauce, one thing I have learned is that you have to read the ingredients, not just carb counts. Sometimes things are low in carbs, but still have things in them we shouldn't have. Have you taken the spit test for Candida? I know that can cause stalls in people, so can cheese. You could try giving up cheese and see if that works. I really feel for you, I was so hoping you would start to lose again. I know this WOL works, it really does.
Oh, is 4 bottles of water all you had? How big were the bottles? I drink at least 100oz a day, but usually its about 128oz. Do you use Fitday? Are your ratios 60%fat, 35% protein, and 5% carbs?? Do you take vitamins?
Ok, that is all I can think of. I am sure someone who really knows what they are doing (2big, Elizellen, etc..) will have some advice.
Take care, I am thinking of you!! (((HUGS)))

Are you loosing inches?? If you are than you arent truly "stalled" you body is just morphing. If your exercising regularly the scale doesn't move right away either. Remember that everyone looses at different rates so you need to be patient. I lost after my first two weeks of induction and than didn't loose again for 6 weeks! Don't give up, it will happen!

Ok, thanks for the advice, but to eliminate cheese would be very hard, considering its really the only dairy I get and being a women in her mid 30's, I cant stop eating calcium rich goods.Taking a suppliment wont work either, as this isnt a diet, its a life change and I cant go thru life not eating dairy.....does that make sense?I plan on doing induction until I am at least half way to goal.......which is some time away as I have only lost 8.5lbs (of water I am sure) since Feb 21st, almost a month ago.Not what I would call encouraging.......if you know what I mean.
The bottles of water are the larger ones and I drink 4 a day which totals my 64oz thats required in the book. Its a struggle for me, as I am not a water lover.I dont drink coffee or juice.......diet soda was my thing, but as you can see I have almost eliminated that completely, so water is all I have left.I thought I was doing pretty good in that department.
I will read the link, and hopefully enlighten myself. My official weigh in is on Tuesday so I guess the praying for a "whoosh" could still work........so everyone start praying

Do you use fitday. It looks to me like your doing a lot of salt and you might be retaining water. Check it out and see if that helps.

Diva - the 64 ounces is a minimum requirement for anyone even those not needing to lose weight - you also need to be drinking an EXTRA 8 fluid ounces for every 25 pounds you want to lose!
the olives are in the 'special foods' category with the warning
Quote:
But be aware that these foods occasionally slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks. If you seem to be losing slowly, moderate your intake of these foods.

Cutting out cheese for a while would not mean that you have to for all the time.
You do get your calcium from the vitamins you take, those 3 ounces of cheese won't make a difference THAT much I think.
I had to stop eating cheese too in the beginning, but now I am in rung 2 and I am happily losing AND eating dairy.
In the beginning even the smallest amount of cheese would stop me from losing weight.
So really, you might want to experiment on that.
What you want to do is see what the different foods do with your body at this point in your weightloss and you won't know what keeps you from losing if you keep on eating the same things, does that make sense ?
Also what you could look into: hamburger patties and baconbits and cooked ham are all pretty high in sodium, you might want to change that into none-processed meats.
Also it could help instead of 3 cups of the '3-cup' veggies you have been eating, try 2 cups of the '3-cup' veggies and 1 cup of the '1-cup' veggies.
I hope this helps a bit....happy losing to you !!!!
