Talking Please Read! Weight Loss Question

I wasn't sure exactly how to title this thread, lol

I will get stuck on the scales at a certain number and then it will stay there until i have a bowel movement then it will drop off like 4 lbs overnight it seems....

i went from 170 and it stayed there for what seems like 2 weeks, then i dropped down to 164, stayed there for about a week then it dropped down to 160..... after my bowel movement.....

now im stuck for a week and a half on 160 and havent had a bowel movement....havent lost any on the scales.. lol

i know my body know well enough to recognize this pattern....
any one else have this?

im certainly not complaining because i know its coming off, but it would be nice to know that this is normal : )

That's perfectly normal! But maybe not for having a bowel movement for a week and a half...try adding more fat into your diet. I snuck some in my heating fresh broccoli up in the microwave with lots of butter in the pot. It gave it a real kick! But whatever way you can, get more fat in, and drink even more water than you already are. Not only will you lose the weight quicker, but you'll not be so....constipated, for lack of a better term hehe

Get the 3 cups of greens in also. Natural fiber in your food is very important.

Have you tried ground flax seed? That might help you out with your regularity.

Are you eating your 3 cups of veggies a day? Maybe you need to move on to OWL Rung One, which is 5 net grams more veggies. It doesn't seem very healthy to me to go so long without BM. I go every day (I know, like you wanted to know that!), and I am on OWL Rung 1. Could you please post a days menu? Did you read the book?

Is a week and a half without going normal for you, or is it a result of Atkins. If it is, then more fat, more fibre and more water are needed. Try fried or roasted onions, especialy red ones, I find they have a laxative effect. And cheese can have a binding effect so maybe limit it.

Post a typical day's menu so the experts can maybe give you tips.

Yes, remember it is supposed to be 3 cups a day minimum of vegetables.
I have a big salad at lunch and a big stir fry at dinner.
