| I know we definately are losing out on the seratonins that we get in carbs. So could be the diet making you feel sad. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

| THE SUREST CURE THAT WILL IMPROVE YOUR MOOD: Cardiovascular exercise. Get moving for a minimum of 30 minutes. You'll be amazed. Betty

| I'll give that cardiovascular a shot. I'm not working today, so I'm being a little sedentary, that might be the cause of it. Thanks for the suggestions, and everyone, thanks for the support. |

I heard that Atkins is a quick way to lose weight and the first month or so we just lose and lose, and then suddenly the bubble breaks and we start losing maybe a pound a week and we're stalled, but we come and read all the posts from all the folks who are losing and it hurts cause we are staring at the same old number on the same old scale. I think these thoughts are our bodys way of trying to get us out of our diet mode and into a gallon of chocolate ice cream. I think when you start losing again, these thoughts will disappear and you will feel so much better. Hang in there my friend. Write all your frustations in your journal and whine and cry and tell us how you feel cause that will make you feel so much better and that what our shoulders are for. We are family and thats what we are here for. |

| Add cardio into your daily routine and I also recommend 5-htp. Quote:

| Well, I am feeling better now, definitely. Especially since I am down 60-65 pounds (don't recall exactly how much I weighed when I started). I realized that a lot of the work I do is cardio related, lots of walking, and power walking, especially when we have a lot of work, not to mention that walking with a 20kg wine box is pretty good in itself. I also did some loading this week, which I would probably consider a form of strength training. (Loading the trucks, makes the day go by faster. Imagine stuffing 400 wine and liquor boxes in a hot truck, and on top of loading, we have to pack them in a way to where they will not fall off of their stacks when the truck is driving. To do that, we fit 11 cases where only 10 would fit comfortably. That is tough.) I think I might look into the 5-htp thing, though. I definitely need a mood balancer, and I need to kill some of this aggression I have been getting, caused by my roommate. And the higher pain threshold would have it's advantages... Sometimes, ninja's like me get hurt, but we must complete our mission. |
