over eating Atkins legal foods will stop weight loss.

Dr Atkins talks in both induction chapters abour eating only enough food to satisfy our hunger when we eat and stopping even if we have food on the plate carbs in the budget or room in our bellies. He even says to practicing eating only a portion of the food on the plate and stopping. if you are still hungery eat a bit more and stop. Since on the Atkins plan we can eat any time we are hungry you know you can have the rest just as soon as you get hungry.

With the appetite suppression of the plan most folk have to use the 6hr rule and have a small snack of a fat/protein with a bit of their veggie carbs. Remember belly fullness isn't a function of hunger. Learn what hunger is for yiu and feed only your hunger and you will be a big loser too.

happy low carbing

If you are buying ground beef, and not preformed hamburgers there shouldn't be any fillers, and if there are they need to be listed on the package. They can't put ingredients in foods without listing them on the package. Premade hamburgers frequently have fillers however, but plain ground beef shouldn't.

I buy the Ground Burger and I don't know what's in it or Why but, it makes me feel sick I don't buy the premade Burgers and I just can't eat hamberger at all could be all the fat in it or my body just can't process it properly something in it doesn't like me even if it is only fat and ground up mean who knows what meat goes in burger really. You have no idea they put Dye in it after the fact fresh hamberger is almost a Brownish color they put the dye in it to make people think it's fresh. Same with steaks it got red dye in it and how do I know this I used to work at a packing pant it's amazing what they put in meat you don't know about. SO yes even know it says fresh ground beef it has Dye in it. SO that is an additive. Just thought inquiring minds might want to know.

There are a lot of factors that can cause a stall. While it's pretty obvious that overeating one food will do it, we are serious about wanting to know what else you have been eating and how much water you have been drinking. Dehydration, too much sodium, hidden carbs, nitrates, too much caffine, too much of the allowed foods like cheese, are all factors as well. How much exercise are you getting and is it always the same thing?

From your starting weight to current weight, it looks like you have been doing really well on the diet so far. Have you been to see your doctor lately? It's a good idea to get your blood work done and your medication levels checked. Some may need to go down because of loss of weight. It's also a good idea to get you thyroid level checked. Resistance to weight loss is a sign of hypothyroid.

think you need to lower the ozs or up the exercise to break the halt in weight loss.

I drink tons of water and dont excersize as much as i would like....

i am cutting out the hamburger! I KNOW this is causing the stall..... Im tellin ya I eat this in VERY LARGE proportions! lol... I weigh 155 right now and im eating the portion size that I would eat while I was at 215... also im binging on hamburger in the evenings... not a very good idea...
im gonna cut out hamburger for a week and see how it changes things...

Good idea Biggestlooser!
Something we losers sometimes forget is that when we have lost 50 pounds we dont need to eat as much food to keep body and soul together!!
This is why it is important to learn to recognise the difference between being hungry and just wanting to eat!!

If you are eating this is very large portions...if you are binging on this as you have said I totally agree that you should top eating it....it may be for some reason a trigger food for you.

Anytime a food seem to make you overeat to the point of stuffed and past the point of satisified we should examine that food as a possible problem.

My brother in law did a plan he said it was Atkins but...he ate very large portions of steak and lots hamburger and lots of cheese and lots of bacon and ate a little salad but was still eating very large portions ...because he could and he didn't losing any weight...I tried to tell him the right way or to read the book but he just said"Atkins" doesn't work for him.

personally I think eating too much of any one food is not at all good for you ...you should eat a wide variety of fresh foods ...for many reasons ...mainly to get the best nutrition possible ...
