| Hi there! Put a picture of yourself on your fridge. That sure helped me from not opening that door! lol What phase of Atkins are you on? Sometimes when we go up a step, believe it or not, we start to lose again (I've read that here somewhere). Try some lemon in your water. Whatever you do, don't cave in on that food and that nasty dessert. Believe me, you will feel much worse if you DO have it. Good luck to you!

| I think I would consider changing your focus baby girl! you are wanting to only loose weight with this? Do you want it to stay gone? do you want to feel good? Does each pound mean that much or does the whole picture mean more? if you make this a larger picture you will do better I promise good luck and be happy .... |

| It does get easier -- drinking water and eating right just becomes habit, then you don't think about food as much, then you stop opening the fridge door. The preoccupation eventually goes away if you hang in there. And if it's any consolation, I didn't lose anything in weeks three and four and I just about gave up. Glad I didn't, as I've lost 9 pounds since. So if you give up, not only do you miss out on losing those pounds that are just itchin' to come off -- but not quite ready yet -- but you'll probably regain what you've lost so far. Now THAT is frustrating. You are worth this!

| Forget the scale, weight is just a number. Being healthy, fit and thin is so worth it!! Forget what other people can eat, we aren't other people. Don't let food have a hold on your life, chocolate cake never made anyone healthy or happy. I go out to eat with my friends, and I eat legal foods and I feel bad for them!! All that unhealthy carbage they eat, I wish they would listen about how evil sugar is!!! Heidi is right, you need to change your focus. Quit thinking about what you can't have, and think about what you can! You can eat steak, burgers, butter, cream cheese, real mayo, broccoli with cheese sauce, and I could go on and on!! I watch my best friend eat Nutrasystem food, and its so tiny and I feel so bad for her!! Please, don't mourn the loss of carbage, its not worth it. Oh, please please please drink your water!! You will be shocked at how much faster the weight falls off. Maybe you would do better if you move on to OWL, the extra food choices really make a difference. I have lost on OWL, and I get to eat lots of yummy food. Hang in there, do not give up on yourself. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

| Thanks for all of your input. I am no way quiting my life plan on atkins. Just speaking out my feelings of how hard it is for me to change to the right way. I think we all have been frustrated at one point or another. Yesterday was just a bad day for me. And no I still didnt cheat. Cheating to me would be death of my life change for the better. After reading more, Ive decided to move into OWL. Maybe I am stalled because of the additional week on the induction and my body is trying to tell me that. So here I go. Veggie week starts now. Ivy |
