Default Okay, should I be worried?

A while back, I hadn't had any progress for about 2 weeks.

I lie. I gained a little.

But now, I lost it, but it was funny how I lost it. I decided to do one of my weekend experiments. Where I stray from my plan, but stay low carb.

I was 207 when I started on Friday. I had a pint of pepper steak, a couple of bunless hotdogs, and almost 2 bottles of water (3 bottles less than normal). I also had 6-7 diet rite kiwi-strawberry sodas and a shot of vodka.

The shot of vodka was a tribute for Anna Svidersky's birthday. I said I would take a shot since she couldn't, but I wasn't able to do it on her birthday, so I did it on Friday.

Saturday, I had a pint of lemon grass chicken, the rest of the 12 pack of diet rite, maybe 2 bottles of water, or less, and a big flouret of steamed brocolli w/a lot more cheese than I should have.

I kept taking my vitamins, except for my green tea, because I ran out, and I have to wait for pay day to get more. I'm also low on my fish oil.

I weighed myself this morning, and according to my scale, I have a foot in one-derland. The scale read just under 200. It's not touching 200, but it's not exactly touching 199 either. So I'm not sure if it's a good thing, this weekend, or if it's something to worry about. (Oh, and Diet Rite doesn't give me any cravings. But if something does give me cravings, it's relatively easy to ignore. I guess it's a willpower thing)

One more question before I go. Low Carb Fuze. It's a healthy infusion drink, according to the label. It's 2 carbs per serving, and 5 calories per serving. Granted, there are 2 servings in a bottle... But, my question is, would it be a good drink to use every once in a while? According to the label (says slenderize on it) It has 40mcg of chromium, 120 mg of Vitamin C, 400mg of Citrimax, and 40mg of L-Carnitine. This thing says that the Citrimax will suppress appetite, and it also reduces conversion of carbs into fat. Any thoughts?

(It has raspberry juice from concentrate, so not until berries rung, right?)

Forgive me if I'm stupid, but I don't understand what you're asking in your title...

Should you be worried about *what*? About dropping 7 lb? No, it sounds like you had a whooshie.

Should you be worried about your consistency with the program? Maybe, because the whole "drinking vodka for a friend" is kind of odd.

Should you be worried about your heavy consumption of diet sodas? Definitely, because even though they are sugar free, they're not healthy.

Should you be worried about not sharing your pepper steak with me? Most definitely because I love pepper steak !

As for low-carb Fuze, I wouldn't drink it. But that's just me.

I think freckles really has the right on here. You got lucky, but odds are good you won't be lucky in the future. Stick to the plan and wait for it to come off. Up your exercise and up your WATER (pure, unadultered water) if you want to change anything. Check your Fitday ratios and relaxxx. I've stalled for up to two months; others have stalled longer. It's just the way bodies work. Your progress WILL slow, and your body WILL stall. You just have to come to grips to that and stop looking for quick fixes or weird food combinations or eat off/on.

In terms of that weirdo fruit drink--if you want those vitamins, buy them and take them. L-glutamine is used to supress sweet cravings; chromium does the same. I have no idea what 'Citrimax' is but it sounds like a scam. The idea of slowing carb conversion to fat is pretty impossible. Often people talk about using suppliments that claim to "block" carbs and these are made from ground up kidney beans and have shown no real effectiveness against carb blocking.

I kinda understand having a drink for a friend. It was pre-Atkins but when my girlfriend Heather was killed on a 4-wheeler at 21 yrs old, we went to a local pub after her funeral and we all drank Budweiser beer in her honor, 'cause we knew that's what she would have wanted. So I kinda get it. You did stop at one, so that's not too bad.
But everyone is right about the rest of the stuff. Dr. A did a lifetime of research to discover how the body works with carbs. I honestly belive that to lose the weight and then be able to keep it off and maintain, you have to take the time to educate yourself and train your body by going through OWL. Owl is a bigger part of this WOE than Induction.
But I must say WOOHOOO on your whooshie!! That's awesome. If the scale is below 200, then it's below 200. You are officially at 199.something and I'd take it and run with it!!

First of all, CONGRATS ON YOUR ENTRY INTO ONEDERLAND!! Of course the scale doesn't have to be on 199, 199.9 is still onederland!

In my book, you are doing GREAT. But of course mine is not the book we go by - and you ARE having way too much Splenda. Which I like to do once in a while, but is your six-pack of Diet Rite a daily thing? Why not substitute one for a nice long drink of water, then a couple days later do the same thing, until you are down to one or two a day? I have had to do this because of my sweet tooth.

Are you getting enough calories usually to keep you from starvation mode? I found out some time ago that my calories were too low for my weight and body fat, and it was keeping me stalled. There is a formula out there somewhere and if 2big doesn't have it I will hunt for it for you if you like. Come to think of it, I may need it again. We have been conditioned to count carbs and not calories, but with some of us this is important. Increasing fat is the easiest way to add calories, then increase veggies.

Well, the overload on diet rite was an accidental thing. Considering I don't have a tolerance for alcohol, I guess I wasn't in my right mind, even after only one shot. But, I am definitely glad that I had it there, because I had forgotten my bottle (the one I refill for my water intake) and there was only alcohol, and regular sodas there. So, I went a little overboard on the diet rite. It could have been much worse.

There were so many snack foods there too. Cookies, chips, dips, empanadas (pumpkin) ramen(which I miss so much) among other no-no foods.

But, I was able to kill those cravings with a couple of happytime sodas and a pack of cigarettes. Well, half pack.

As for the caloric count, by my last check, I need to take in more. I would love to know that formula, though, so I know how many I actually need to take in, because I had been stalling for a while, and at the time, I didn't actually measure, but a week ago, I counted, and I was taking about 700 calories a day. I don't think that's enough. So I added a couple extra things, like an egg here, and some string cheese there. But, I want to be as efficient in weight loss as I was before, so if you can, please find that formula for me?

Hi Ska,

Could you post a few days worth of your menus in Review My Menu?

Let's take a look at what you're eating!
