| Oh, honey, I totally understand!!!!! I was doing really well, until the evils of Easter weekend. Such emotional eating! Yikes! So, I fell off the wagon big time - Hang in there. Keep at it until you find the combination that works for you. We are all here to support you. God knows I would have quit ages ago without this board and its great folks! Big love, Stacy

| *Picks Ivy up and dusts her off* Girl I totally understand what you are saying I have done the same thing with crispy cremes. Same anger, thirst and hatred of self. All I can say to you girl is USE IT! Dont let it go for nothing, use this feeling of remorse and dissapointment to fuel your drive and passion for staying the course. Never let your guard down again like this, its not worth it. We know this WOE works and we know that stalls are part of it. Exercise is an awesome piece of advice and could be the thing that breaks the stall. Stay strong girl. |

| welcome back. since you are allowing the numbers on the metal monster to dictate the value of your hard work working your Atkins make friends with your tape measure and watch the inches of fat leaving as you morph your body. we add pounds of lean body mass eating our atkins and working out while she shed the fat mass pounds and fluid mass pounds are in a constant stat of flux. I know how hard it is struggling with the metal mosnter getting pounds off when we are working hard toward goal and know we should be burning off mega pounds of fat. But the tapemeasure and trying on some new clothes in the store will tell you you are getting smaller. the rapid weight loss of our initial 14 days on induction spoils us for the slower weightloss body morphing work we have to do getting to goal. you will be a big loser on Atkins.

| I am not trying to be mean, but you've only been on atkins for what? 6 weeks? And you've lost 14 lb? If in any 6 week period you lose 14 pounds, you are nowhere NEAR a stall. That's not even a blip on the stall radar!! Weight loss isn't something that is routine or patterned..... sometimes it happens in jolts. If you want to succeed LONG TERM, you will have to brace yourself for the reality that it is slow sometimes. And I don't mean a couple weeks with no loss slow, I mean, sometimes you will go a few MONTHS with no loss. It happens. And it doesn't mean we're screwing up, it just means that's reality. I've been losing weight on this journey since October 2004. That's a loooong time and I have come to accept that this will be a journey that takes longer than I'd desire. And it also means that sometimes I have to just keep plugging along, EVEN when I don't see the results. It is hard, but that's reality. Hugs! brush yourself off, and move on! And don't let the scale dictate your emotions! And read up on the definition of STALL! |

| SO Glad you came Back there is something said for being in complete control of yourself. I too felt the Way you did you Probably think you no Way. Way back when I started I had a successful Induction I lost 12 pounds I was extatic, I was expecting more and more to come off I stalled hard too I stalled and stalled and came here for help and support just like you. I was soo determined to not give in and My Patience definately paid off. After 6 weeks of not losing anything being stuck I lost and I lost a ton. Of course I was 273 pounds at that time and WHOOSH I stuck it out took everyones advice and really it happened sometimes you just have to have Patience the first few weeks is not gunna tell your success or failure on this WOE if I had quit after the fist 2 weeks of my Stall I would not be down 107 pounds now I would not have got the adrenaline rush when the scale crept down. I ahve learned Patience it's sooo hard I know it is, but stick it out and find the true magic. I am glad you are getting it under control again you should be sooo PROUD of yourself. Just remeber stalls are a part of weight loss I have had a lot of them I ahve stalled more weeks then lost but, HERE I AM smaller then I ever have been, you can do it to. Sarah

| As Clinton would say, "I feel your pain". As Dora would sing, "Just keep swimming; Just ke-e-e-p swimming!" Remember that a new exercise program can cause misleading numbers on the scales. New muscles replace old fat at the same time. Then to add to the confusion come the viscious cycles produced by water retention, hormones, salt and other substances. The same long stalls got to me at first, too, but now I know eventually the Whooshie Fairy will come thru & break you free. Hang in there! You're doing just fine!

| Gotta keep it in perspective... I have been on Atkis for a couple of months now and have dropped about 15lbs. I generally loose 1-1/2 lbs. per week and sometimes nothing. But hey...1lb a week would be 50lbs. in a year. Actually 1 lb. a week is a pretty healthy way to loose and if you throw some regular excersise in there you'd maintain some pretty good muscle tone. Try not to focus on the big picture, but look how far you've come. You have lost 22% of the total weight you need to loose to make goal! You should feel good about that! Jack W.
