Default Atkins + Hydroxycut?

I just started the Atkin's diet and am about 4 days into the induction phase. I was wondering if it is a good idea to take Hydroxycut in addition to the diet, or would it counteract the diet? Should I take the caffiene free version seeing as caffiene is discouraged in te induction phase? Also, is it ok to take creatine powder while on the diet? Thanks in advance for the help!

Oh atkinsdude lol your really going to hear it about this one.... I did the SAME THING when I first started. You could probably do a search and put in Hydroxycut and pull my thread up. I think the biggest response I got was; That you are trying to start a new healthy way of live for yourself and shouldn't use pills to get there. Also I read the back of the lable and gave the bottle away the next day.

Just so you know.... I was having a hard time keeping to the Atkins plan when I was taking the pills but once I stopped taking the pills I was able to stick to induction easier and started to notice the pounds dropping off. I lost 14 lbs. during my 2 week induction. Not bad if I do say so myself.

What ever you decide to do, Good luck and welcome aboard, you have came to the perfect place for help and support. If there's anything I can do let me know.
And if you don't already do this go to www.fitday.com and check it out... it's awesome and has really helped me keep track of what I'm eating and counting my carbs.

I don't think the hydroxycut will benefit you in any way that Atkins alone can't! Just my opinion!

I am not a fan of any chemical benefit to weight loss. It never helped me in the past because as soon as I went off, I would gain the weight back. I would suggest you practice the Diet as follows first, and see what the results are before messing with your metabolism. You might not need the "help," and you will know once the weight is gone that you did yourself. As for Creatine, it works by retaining water within the muscles, which is counterproductive IMO to weight loss.
