| Sarah: Its summer. We all retain water in the heat which shows up on the scale. My advice would be to toss the wretched thing! You know you haven't eaten 42,000 calories (that's 12 pounds worth) ... so its gotta be water. Not to mention you've been sick .. which causes your body stress and we all know that stress wreaks havoc with the scale. You need to relax .. do some deep breathing exercises. Get more rest if you can. I'm talking serious sleep here. Let your body recover. Increase your water. Drink until you can't drink any more and be sure you take your vitamins. AND STAY OFF THE SCALE. Betty

| I put this in your journal, but I'll say it here too. Okay, we know that ... wait... First, WOOHOOO on the size 12 pants...petite size even! That's outstanding! we know that muscle and fat weigh the same but muscle takes up less room on your body. we also know that you are a weight lifting, running MANIAC. Here is my theory: you are gaining muscle at the very least the same rate as you are burning fat. You possibly are even gaining muscle at a FASTER rate than you are melting fat!!! That would result in gaining pounds but being smaller...and you ARE smaller. Look at the pictures, look at those size 12 pants, Sarah! We all know that fat loss slows down as we get closer to goal...but you've really ramped up your weight lifting and running routines. Look at the muscular legs that runners have...their hams and quads are magnificent. The weight lifting too is building some fantastic muscles on your body. You've worked really hard at training your body and maybe it's become extremely efficient at building muscle.

| Sara, you are an example to everyone, cheer up!! a size 12 is amazing!! I almost never post but when I sign in the first time I do is check your pics and the amazing change you have acomplished you are a motivation. Maybe you are building muscles and burning fat or retaining water. If you get stressed it is going to be harder to loose that weight. I am sure your endocrinologist is going to help you a lot. Remember that stress is not good for the good bacteria, and yeast is not a good allied. I dont know if you remember Neysa (girasol909 in the spanish forum) She dropped a lot of pounds and stalled for 6 months, doing everything by the letter. As soon as she quited some foods like cheesse, nuts, mayo, mushrooms, even splenda, and started taking probiotics and OoO and garlic, in a month she dropped all the pounds she didnt for six months. |
