Default Isn't it ironic?

So I sit here, in front of my computer. This lovely Sunday afternoon. My son (3 yrs. old) is watching Thomas the Tank Engine. I hate Thomas. So, yesterday in our adventures, we went to the mall (the one with Williams-Sonoma). By this time we'd already been through Barnes & Noble, Pottery Barn, Gap/Gap Kids/Gap Baby, EMS, Gymboree, Starbucks, and Smith & Hawken. So you can imagine how happy my son was by this point. Anyway. So we come across the sale table (after he's been jumping off some step thing for 10 minutes and I've been looking at the knives (not directly related thank you). There are these dinosaur cookie cutters. My son loves the dinosaurs. Almost as much as that stupid THomas. So here I sit, in front of the computer, with 3 windows open - 1 window is ADBB (of course), 1 window is Fitday (normal neurotic tracking), and 1 freaking window is a recipe for Sugar cookies. Does this seem completely psychotic to anybody besides me?!?!?! The thinngs we do for our kids.

Hey I made the flourless peanut butter cookies last night, it was a nice treat. You could make up a batch of those for you to eat while he has his sugar cookies.

I had a blue cheese burger this morning for breakfast - I'm still totally full from it. :P

I was having an Alanis moment. In case the same situation arises, just remember, you're holding it cause you're a loving, temptation resisting fool who didn't offer to take your daughter to the bathroom (which would totally leave your girlfriend holding everything).

My kids LOVE these and they have been the hit in class each year at Christmas parties. It's my way of letting the kids do Christmas cookies without allowing all that sugar.

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (can replace with carbalose if you want to eat some...)
1/2 pound shredded Cheddar cheese (leave it out to soften first too, if possible)
1 teaspoon salt
Mix the butter and cheese. Add flour and salt. Roll out and let kid cut. Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes, depending on how thick they are.

Hey, that sounds like a good idea. My kid's too young to cut out the cookies, but he loves the "dinosaurs" and it'd be nice to have something around we can both eat!

Sounds good. Have you tried them with the carbalose? And....what is carbalose?
