| That is so typical of the folks who don't understand. When I get that response from people, I tell them that that is the beauty of low carb and Atkins in particular. I tell them that eating a lot of fat is not bad for you when you have significantly reduced your carb intake. Most folks blame fat in the diet for all the disease, but we all know that its is sugar combined with fat that causes the problems. Rich, I'll bet you blew their diets away when it came to veggies!

| Yay Rich!! No one comes out and tells me Atkins is bad, but they say things like (today for example) "I just eat in moderation and don't cut out any food groups. That's not realistic." My co-worker then told me all the recipes she found using stuffing mix as an ingredient. Well, my meat loaf, tuna patties and hamburgers come out just fine without the addition of store-bought hunks of seasoned stale bread. Sheesh!

| Yeah, me too ladyinred. I make salmon patties just fine without crushed bread crumbs or crackers. Meatloaf also....Turns out just fine. Just keep laughin' yourself healthy and thin Richt! No one will understand this WOE until they read the book and learn about it in its entirety. How do they explain your weight loss? Do they truely believe you are less healthy now than when you were 70lbs heavier? What is their logic? Well, keep doin' what you're doin'. Its lookin' good!! |

| I get that all the time! One friend of ours has been on weight watchers off and on for the last 8 years I've known her and actually weighs MORE than she did when she started! She's always telling me how unhealthy my way of eating is and how Atkins doesn't work. I love it!

| I love the look they get in their eyes when you describe your meal to them. Especially if they are wolfing down a cheeseburger and fries while you tell them.

| The doctor I consulted after my accident tried to tell me Atkins was unhealthy, so I listed my food for the day. He went very quiet. Then I asked him did he think 131 kgs, BP of 190s/100s was healthier than 104 kgs and BP 0f 115s/mid70s? He didn't mention Atkins again. Funny that! On the breadcrumbs front, I've been experimenting with LSA and psyllium husks. They go just great in meatloaf and I made prawn cutlets with them too, my other half liked them better than his ones done in breadcrumbs! (WE buy green oprawns and dip them in egg and then LSA. Much nicer than those frozen ones with all the additives.
