Default what time is to late ?

When should you stop eating?

I have been eating small meals through out the day and if I stopped around 6pm I'd be starving... when is it to late to eat?

I know I read that calories don't run on a certain time... something like that lol

what I know is that you should be deviding your meals through-out the day with 3hrs in between.. like breakfast @ 9, snack @ 12, lunch @ 3.. that sort of thing. When to stop is a different matter.. depends on how early (or late) you sleep.. if you sleep at around 9, stopping at 6pm is just perfect.

I hope this helps, and hopefully other members would have clearer information about this

I stick to the rule of thumb that I don't eat within 3 hours of going to bed.

For me the correct time to stop eating each day is when I am no longer hungry. If you are hungry for a snack at 10 pm, eat. While some rules might apply to those not feeling the effects of ketosis or are obsessive eaters, I found going to bed hungry to be a worse problem than a small snack before bed time.

Believe me, I too at times got nitpicking and rule creating trying to explain why I wasn't losing. I would have crazy rules like no water after 9 pm because I could still be retaining it in the morning or the flax was retaining water in my intestines (bulking agent afterall) hence no weight loss. In the end, I just figured out weightloss is very persnickety thing that trying to predict good days or negative impacts like what hour is too late was counterproductive to learning a lifelong eating pattern. A better rule was, "if you are hungry, eat, and once you are not, stop."

Being in ketosis certainly helped make those signals more clear and the urge to graze because I was bored easier to resist.
