Hello everyone. I was a member of this board about 8 months ago. I left and have not been back because I read and myself experienced so much negative stuff here. I hate conflict and enjoy positivity greatly. I decided to come back and give it another chance and one of the first things i read was a fuss between two members. I just wanted to say that I know that some of the people here are experts on the diet and have done wonderfully and had so much success, but I also see some that come off to preachy. They jump on anyone who puts a toe out of bounds on the diet. Then the other person gets defensive and a battle ensues. I honestly belive the one doing the preaching was just trying to help and perhaps was a little harsh. I just wanted to say that dieting and weight are extremly sensitive issues to most people, myself included. I would love for everyone to make an effort to be encouraging and when giving advice make sure it is wanted and given with tact. Also, if you have been given advice take it with an open mind and a feeling that someone wants to help you. To all those that come here with a positive attitude and are always giving encouragment and love to others (and there are a LOT of you) I want to say THANKS!

i totally agree with trying to get along. i'm a cool guy to know with lots of great advice that worked for me on "Atkins". I admit i can be very defensive when it comes to my weight loss and when someone says i cheat and that what i'm doing is wrong and should only be by the book makes me even madder. It's like i'm only going to fit in if i do it right, it shouldn't be that way at all since i am an individual. This board is to help people with losing weight and it would be great if everyone could reach their goal weight, but the last thing i need is someone telling me i need to do it the correct way or to stop doing what i do in my own time.

I will ask the board when i do need help losing weight or when i feel lost but right now i'm doing just fine losing weight so i just come here for new advice, information and tips i could use on my diet. i also like to help people with atkins advice that helped me when i started induction. so let's just try to be friends people, i'm sorry if it seemed like i stepped off on the wrong foot but i shouldn't be judged any differently since we all eat low carb. anyways let's all get along and back to losing more weight.

There was a previous thread with the same issues in it that got locked. Let's do the same to this one. The same issues do not need to be hounded into the ground.

Fine, get along, as in... get along to posting good information and atkins advice in other threads, and leave this behind.

This is not a member requesting nicely that you leave the dogs lie..

This is a Mod asking you to not make the other Mod's lives more difficult by making them run around getting the Admins to lock redundant threads.
