| actually the falling asleep sensation is pressure on a nerve not blood supply. could be you are losing the fat padding you had and now the exposed area is getting mashed in those possitions. Your immune system issues could be do to lack of vits and minerals have you been checking to see if you are meeting your nutritonal goals on www.fitday.com or some oother place. If we make poor induction veggie food choices we can be low in many water soluble vits and minerals. Show your doc your food menu for the last couple of weeks and ask him about it. show him any supplements you are taking. that being said are you taking any supplements becised vitamins? many of the compounds sold over the counter can cause increases in anxiety as a side effect in may folk. I know benydril does it in me. did you know stress can weaken an immune system?

In the 2+ yrs for me on this woe for me I haven't been sick once, no colds, no flu's etc. also have you quit smoking recently by any chance? When I quit 6 yrs ago, I was sick with ongoing colds for a year! My Dr. said it had nothing to do with smoking, but i never believed it...it was the only thing i could relate it too. I figure my body was going thru withdrawls and adjust ments (i think the doc thought i was making an excuse to start again ).

| I had issues with my limbs strangly falling asleep before I started Atkins. Even when I laid down and put my arm over my head, it would fall asleep! The cure for me has been exercise. Within a week of exercising the numbness went away (the first few days of exercise were painfull). I think that is the key. Also, are you taking vitamins?

| I am still in induction. I tried moving into OWL but weight loss slowed way down and im not ready for that yet I have so much to loose. I am only taking a multi vit which I know I also need to go get some calcium supplements. quit smoking 4 yrs ago. Checking fitday I am deficient in my vits and minerals. But I havent factored in that I take the vit in there. How do I add my vitamin into fitday? I dont want to take 10 pills a day. Besides the multi vit and calcium sup. Is there anything else that is vital? Someone said chronium helps motabolize the excess fat would that be good?

| I get the anxiety thing on induction. Not during the day, but at night, I have this nervous energy, and I can't get my mind to shut off. I have such a hard time sleeping while on induction. |

| make your vit a custom food and save it then log it every day you take it as a food. move to OWL rung 1 and squat there. I added the more induction veggies and the one ounce of nuts and didn't move any higher for the first 6.5 months after induction 14 day and was able to stay undere 20 net carbs too cause I don't eat nor drink any junk foods doing Atkins. the weight left just as fast having that and I wasn't deficient in any thing. being deficient in Bs can cause your anxiety to worsen

| I'm sorry you aren't feeling well, Mother. I am not much help, but I did want to share that from November to February last year (when I was off Atkins and proceeding to gain back 35 lbs), I was constantly sick. I would catch cold after cold which would turn to terrible bronchitis. I would weeze and I even had pleurisy. I had to take an inhaler! I also got the flu TWICE on top of it all. I was so miserable. I got this weird pain under my right ribs that lasted weeks and I even had swollen lymph nodes. The doctor could not find a thing wrong. Now, for the good news! After returning to Atkins, I haven't been sick at all, just normal allergy stuff. Granted, it isn't winter yet, so we shall see. I really think this eating plan helps keep us healthy. I hope you find out what's wrong, and that it's not serious. **hugs**

| I had shingles when I was like, 14. It was no fun. My Dr. didn't run a test for it though, it was a rash, like chicken pox, covering the left half of my upper body (from sternum to spine) and was mad itchy. From what my Dr. said, it can be contributed to the weakened immune system along with a variety of things like anxiety, or stress (yes, I was a neurotic youth too). Anxiety - I also have this, I try to keep it under control, but sometimes there are things that set it off. I know that if you've had it under control for a while, having an off week can seem like a huge thing but chances are you'll get it back under control relatively quickly. I get more panic/anxiety attacks when I'm PMSing, I dunno if this would have anything to do with yours.
