| Lemme see if I understand this right - Ok. So we have pasta sauce that's 10g net carbs. We add 1 heaping tsp of fibersure (which is 6g-5g fiber) so 1 net carb. So it's 11g net carbs for the pasta sauce if we add it. But it'll keep you more regular... Now, if you just ate the heaping teaspoon of FiberSure *as* the pasta sauce, it'd only be 1 net carb, but I really think it'd be kinda nasty. Does this make sense?

| Ok. If it's just the pasta sauce, let's say the pasta sauce is 10g carbs with 2g fiber, right? So the net carbs on the pasta sauce is 8g. When you add something to it, like FiberSure, you would need to count the net carbs (1g) in that item as well. So the total amount of carbs in pasta sauce with FiberSure would be 16g (10+6). Total Fiber would be 7 (2+5). So Carbs-Fiber=Net, 16-7=9 In your calculations, you're subtracting the fiber from the FiberSure, but you're not adding the carbs from it in the initial number.

| QUESTION: If pasta sauce has 10 carbs and we add 5mg of fibersure...would it then be 5 carbs for the sauce? No, that is impossible. You are not taking anything AWAY from the pasta sauce, you are adding to it. The extra fibre may make the pasta sauce pass through the system a bit faster, so less is absorbed, but there is no way you can measure that without a scientific laboratory. What are you eating pasta sauce for anyway (gives suspicious look)?

| Lyssie, Forgot to mention earlier...thanks for honestly trying to help me out! I appreciate your patience...I get it now. It was just a hypothetical question I had been mulling around for a while now. If I actually had a bottle of fiber sure in my hand and read the label, I'm sure I would've seen what you meant earlier...lol. Thanks again! |

| btw, some do not do any subtraction at all. they count all carbs even if it's fiber. your choice.
