| There was a thread about carbs "leaking" into other foods. The example given was cooking potatoes in soup and how the soup gets thicker (this is the potato "leaking"). I would assume the same thing would happen with the apple cider. I would boil the chicken in water to be safe.

| Apple cider vinegar would be safe, but I would not boil the chicken in apple juice. The only reason to do that would be to have the chicken take on the flavor of the apple juice. Guess what in that the flavor would also be the fructose as well!

| Hum, I am trying to think of a substitute and I think I would just use chicken broth to boil it in. It would enhance the chicken flavor. |

| what pretell are you making that needs pickeled chicken? boiling applecider will clean out your sinuses so be careful when you go to check your chicken. you can measure the amount you added before and after to see how much your chicken has absorped.

| Hey Guys, Thanks for your replies. I was hopping it would be okay to cook the chicken in apple cider/juice. I guess I'll just have to pass the chicken salad recipie up for a while longer. |
