| Flax, psyllium husk and wheat bran are 'bulk-forming' laxatives. They work by absorbing water and expanding in your gut. That expansion or bulkiness stimulates your body to move things out. These laxatives take time to work. They also require water. So make sure you are drinking at the very least the daily water requirement. I don't know which vegetables you are eating, but you might want to look at the fiber content of them. If you're eating something like lettuce mostly, you might want to incorporate other veggies into your diet.
