| BBQs are a blessing for Atkineers. Meat is filling, so when I go to a BBQ, I fill up on the meat as much as possible so I am not tempted by the other carby foods. Be very careful with that low carb ice cream. It tastes so good that it is easy to overeat it and it usually has sugar alcohols, which aren't good. For all ice cream, a serving is 1/2 cup, which is so itty bitty.

| Did pretty good today. One woman brought doughnuts over this morning. I didn't touch them. Ate salad with ham and chicken for lunch. Snacked on nuts and some hummus but used cucumbers instead of chips for the dipping vehicle. Did have two servings of low carb ice cream and another bit of dark chocolate and a couple of glasses of wine. But didn't touch the potatoe salad, coleslaw or boudan. Had regular ice cream and hot fudge for others and left it alone as welll as the fresh cut pineapple.I'm proud of myself, even though I'm not perfect I know what could have happened with all those tempting carbs. I proved to myself that I can have control yet still enjoy food and people without going out of control. |
