| I don't know if it's appropriate to just post the recipe here, so, if not, any mod may feel free to delete. Here's a cheesecake receipe that I've made for the last two holiday seasons. It always turns out great, and everyone, low carbing or not, seems to enjoy it. A few little tips: 1. Wrap the lower half of the springform pan in one sheet of aluminum foil (to prevent leaking) and bake the cake with the pan in a "bain marie" (which is just a pan of hot water). 2. If you have liquid Splenda, you can save a considerable number of carbs over the powdered kind. 3. Bake the crust in a 350 degree oven for about ten to fifteen minutes, then allow to cool, before adding the batter and baking. New York Low Carb Cheesecake 14 servings 1 cup ground almonds 3 tablespoons Splenda 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted 5 packages (8 oz each) Cream Cheese, softened 1 cup Splenda 1 tablespoon vanilla 3 eggs plus 2 egg yolks 1 cup sour cream Mix crushed almonds, 3 tablespoons Splenda and butter; press onto bottom of 9-inch spring form pan. Cinnamon may be added to almond mixture, if desired. Mix cream cheese, 1 cup Splenda, and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs and egg yolks, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition, just until blended. Blend in sour cream. Pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes or until center is almost set. Run a small knife around the rim of the pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim of pan. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Top slices with your favorite allowed fruit, or fruit topping

| can the cooking lessons be moved back to the cooking forum since those lessons say they are off topic subjects? Noboy is going to look there for our cooking lesson topic with all the great holiday recipes.
