Looks like the holidays are here

When I came into the office this morning, I stopped by the staff room to put my salad fixin's in the fridge. On one of the tables sat a large witch doll, who was totally surrounded by goodies. Now, these aren't store bought goodies, either. Someone went to a LOT of trouble to make little eclairs, cream puffs, several kinds of cookies, and a couple of pastries of some sort that I don't recognize. It really was a beautiful display.

Was there any fruit, cheese slices, mixed nuts, sugar free cheesecake? Of course not.

It would have been SO easy to have just "a few bites" of some of those things. However, I know (boy, do I know!) where a few bites can lead, and there was nothing there whose taste would bring me nearly as much pleasure as the pleasure of being thin and healthy, again.

So, I've decided that on the day of Hallowe'en, I'm going to make a nice legal cheesecake and bring it in to share with the group.

Great idea, Chris! Maybe bring in some non-food item. I'm giving out those tiny packages of play-dough. People will play with those, regardless of age. And they smell spiffy, too!

We are having a bake sale/contest here today. Totally staying away. One lady went and bought a whole bunch for everyone for desert. Staying away from her desk too. LOL I know as we get into the holidays there is going to be much much more of his kind of thing. Planning to stay away from it all.

Good for you, choeve! Why that lady is peddling that stuff is beyond me. Maybe she secretly wants everyone to gain weight so she looks even thinner. Hmmmmm
