| That's weird. Because Atkins isn't a high-protein diet. It's a high fat diet. According to the percentages, only 30-35% of the diet should be protein at the most. It could be that you had previous kidney damage pre-Atkins (it happens) and that might cause issues with proteins. I'd wonder if you had previous renal issues prior to this?

| GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RR High protein in the blood which is usually from immune system protiens can be from many factors from infection to chronic inflamation of the joints like arthritis. Send your doc to the mayo clinic for a refresher course in causes of high blood protein levels and one of the first things they will inform her is high protein diets do not cause high blood protein levels.

| LOL you should be able as the original poster unless they changed the board controls to delete the topic if you got to the advanced page otherwise you can lock it yourself and then PM a mod or admin and ask them to delete it for you. glas you are healthier tonight then you thought you were this morning. usually they blame cholesterol on Atkins.
