| the issue with the beef is did you need to eat all those slices to satisfy your hunger? if so then that is a fine snack when you add some of your carbs. you can pick any fat any protein from the lists and mixthem howevery you want. you are suppose toi be having a bit of your carbs with it though so as you progress you are that habit of eating all catagories of foods in the correct amounts to fuel your body. Actually the new nititrte stuff says it actually helps the human body in low O2 periods so don't fret so much about it. Dr Atkins said in DANDR it was a health issue niot an Atkins issue.

| I have a hard time snacking because I'm usually not hungry and have to force myself to eat. Sometimes, too, snacking connotes eaten as a pasttime or not hungry. If you're hungry, try eating a couple slices and then wait for 20 minutes and see if you're still hungry. I try to eat when hungry, but stop when no longer hungry (not full, just not hungry). It works really well! If you're new to low-carbing, it's nice to know, though, that you can eat when hungry and that a little protein and fat go a long way!
