| Just to add, here is the link directly to the New England Journal of Medicine. http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/short/355/19/1991 "Conclusions Our findings suggest that diets lower in carbohydrate and higher in protein and fat are not associated with increased risk of coronary heart disease in women. When vegetable sources of fat and protein are chosen, these diets may moderately reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. "

| You know what just gets under my skin? 1) They found that eating high fat levels ANY high fat levels including eating animal fat levels did NOT INCREASE risk. 2) They found that replacing animal fats with vegetable fats may DECREASE the risk...which is great, and advocated by Dr. A in the form of avacado, olives, olive oil, etc. 3) People interviewed (but not part of the study) just have to get their low-fat 2 cents in there. "Dr. Robert Eckel, immediate past president of the American Heart Association, said the study was well done, but noted that the nurses' recall of what they ate most likely isn't perfect. Eckel, an endocrinologist at University of Colorado School of Medicine, said many studies have shown heart disease risk is cut by eating less fat and more whole grains, fresh fruit and vegetables -- the approach of the government's food pyramid. He said medical guidelines won't be changed by the new study, although it raises questions about the role of refined sugar." "They" (the low-fat faithful) are NEVER going to acknowledge that their plan is killing America, are they?
