Exclamation Herbalife Meets Atkins---Please Read!!!

Hello everyone,

As you may know, I have been struggling with my weight for a while now and I am so glad that I have found this board because the support here is unbelievable.

I have been on the Atkins for a while now and the amount of energy I have gained since loosing 23.8 lbs. has been phenomenal. A few weeks ago a friend of mine introduced some products to me and let me tell you, since I have been on the products, I feel amazing. My energy has doubled, my memory has achieved amazing results, and not to mention the time I have now. My breakfast and lunch meals take under 5 minutes to prepare and I can take them on the go if I need to.

By now, you are probably wondering what the products are---It’s Herbalife!!! Many of you might say, “Oh those products don’t work” or “Those products are not Atkins friendly and it will mess with your low-carb program”. Well, to the people who will and have said these types of things, either you did not follow the program correctly or you have not done your research. More so, they do work and they can be customized to your low-carb program. Most of the Herbalife products are Atkins friendly while some are not. Now on that note, if you are just starting induction or are currently on induction, I WOULD NOT use these products, but since I am no longer on induction, I do use the products and I will share more about the products momentarily.

The reason I am telling you about this is because I am so excited. Who does not want convenience and proven results? Now, on that note, Atkins will give you PROVEN results, but add Herbalife and SPEED UP your results.

Now, onto the products--->the worldwide number one product is the Formula 1 Shake Mix. It comes in all different flavors like: French Vanilla, Dutch Chocolate, Wild Berry, Tropical Fruit, Cookies N Cream, and Kosher. I prefer the French Vanilla. The nutritional content is as follows:

Nutritional Shake Mix

Calories=90, Total Fat=1g, Saturated Fat=0g, Trans Fat=0g, Cholesterol=0g,

Sodium=140mg, Potassium=210mg, Total Carbohydrate=13g, Dietary Fiber=3g, Sugars=9g. Plus it has several vitamins and minerals.

Now, you are going to have to add some milk to make this a shake obviously so let’s look at some milk products and their nutritional facts.

Fat Free Milk

Calories=90, Total Fat=0g, Trans Fat=0g, Polyunsaturated Fat=0g,

Monounsaturated Fat=0g, Sodium=130g, Potassium=410mg, Total Carbohydrates=13g, Fiber=0g, Sugars=12g, Protein=8g. Plus several vitamins and minerals.

Hood Calorie Countdown Fat Free Milk

Calories=45, Total Fat=0g, Cholesterol=0g, Sodium=160g, Total Carbohydrates=3g, Fiber=0g, Sugars=3g, Protein=8g. Plus several vitamins and minerals.

As you can see, when you mix the Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix with the Hood Calorie Countdown Fat Free Milk you are going to have 10 net carbohydrates for the shake mix and 3 net carbohydrates for the milk which equals 13 net carbohydrates per meal replaceable shake. It’s Awesome!!! I don’t know about you, but when time during the day is an issue, this is a great alternative and convenience. If you want to know more about the Formula 1 Shake Mix and/or Hood Calorie Countdown Milk product, I will have my contact information at the end of this blog.

Let’s take a look at more products. Next, will be the Herbalife Tea Concentrate. This product is absolutely fantastic and is great for many different types of people. An example would be parents who stay home with their small children and who need the energy to keep up all day long. This delicious low-calorie tea mix blends green tea and orange pekoe with cardamom seed, hibiscus and natural sources of caffeine for an uplifting taste treat. Caffeine is known for is natural thermogenic (metabolism boosting) benefits and green tea for its antioxidant properties. Studies have shown that regular consumption of green tea can support good health and regular consumption of moderate amounts of caffeine can support weight control. You can enjoy this refreshing Herbal Tea Concentrate as part of your Atkins friendly diet regimen whenever you want a boost!

Not to mention as well as it will speed up your metabolism without making you jittery.

One more product I will tell you about is the tablet called Total Control. This product is also amazing. If you took this product as a stand alone, you would loose 2-6 pounds a week. Sounds good to me. Now, when you combine, the Formula 1 powder, with the Hood Calorie Countdown Fat Free Milk twice (2) a day, the Total Control three (3) times a day, the Herbal Tea Concentrate one (1) time a day, plus eat an Atkins Friendly meal, you are going to get great results. Now, you can still have your snacks in the morning and afternoon; just make sure they are Atkins Friendly.

So, lets summarize and I will give you a menu sample---

Breakfast---Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix mixed with Hood Calorie Countdown Milk=13 net carbs. Don’t forget the Total Control!!!

Morning Snack---Cheese (1 carb) and Herbal Tea Concentrate 8oz. (1 carb) =2 net carbs.

Lunch---Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix mixed with Hood Calorie Countdown Milk=13 net carbs. Don’t forget the Total Control!!!

Afternoon snack---Turkey and Cheese Rollup. Don’t forget Total Control=Last one of the day!!!

Dinner---Beef Sirloin and Salad.

As you can see, you have kept your carbs low, you have consumed a lot of protein, vitamins, and minerals, you have eaten five (5) times which is going to give your metabolism a major boost and most of all, you are full of great food and full or energy. You can actually start enjoying the things in life that matter to you. Whether that is spending more time with your friends and family, a sport, etc. I am really excited about this and by this time, I hope you are getting excited too. As an Atkins Bulletin Board member, I am always here to support you and I know you will do the same.

Wow, that sounded very much like a commercial. Those are "franken" foods. The truth is, while widely frowned upon, they do work for some. More power to you if they don't slow you down or stop your weight loss. But for some people, convenience can be the kiss of death on a diet. Especially with all these processed products.

The thing about Atkins is learning to plan meals and eat healthy and natural. A lot of people here like to get creative and make all sorts of things out of flax. And for most, "products" are a huge no no.

Good luck with your weight loss. Don't rely too heavily on those products too, even if they are helping.

P.S.: goin2bgood, I love your avatar. It's so awesome!

Whether you want to call it advertising or not, I am simply trying to help people understand that there are products out there to help assist with low-carb and weight loss. Wether they are bought from me or someone else, does not matter. What matters is health, weight, and sense of being. Please do take offense to this. I am not here just for that, I am here to support people and their efforts. Thanks.

If anything, they have increased my weight loss and many people I know have had great results from these products. If you simple wish to follow your normal program, thats great. I will support you in any way I can. I wish you many successes. For some people though, simply doing atkins without a boost of some sort can hault their progress, some people need that extra boost. Obviously, you are not one of them and that is fantastic. These products, --->for me, have helped, and they are part of my daily routine.

As is our policy, commercial posts can not remain on ADBB. I removed the commercialism that I saw in the original thread. This is by no means to say these are Atkins or even ADBB approved products, but you can judge the appropriateness of diet products for yourself.

I am personally much like Twilight that I would not want to either be physically or even just mentally reliant on any product for the success of weight loss. If not only for long term success but for my pocket books' sake, eventually I want to know I lost it on my own due to permanent lifestyle changes.

You know, I certainly understand that there are a lot of negative people on this bulletin board, but what I do not understand is the fact that this is supposed to be a supporting board. Now, I too understand this is a lifestyle change. Do I eat sugar intentionally, no, because I knew I had to stop doing that. Same with anything else. The products I use are soy based. Now, many people use soy, am I wrong? No, because Soy is now becoming one of the fastest growing products to use. Next, soy can come in different types of products, like...milk, cheese, meats, all natuaral supplements. So, how are the products I am using and the products I am whole heartedly telling you about bad for you? Soy is very natural.

For those people who say that they will stick to the natural foods, great but let me let you in on a little secret...unless you have your own cow...pig...chicken, your cheese is processed, your meat is processed, your butter is processed, etc. So, I really do not think that my all natural products are that bad. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I fully support people making up their own minds for what their long-term diet changes are and what products help them get to goal. I can just comment on my perspective. If this stuff helps you get to and stay at goal, great I am happy for you. For advocating the stuff for others, I would have problems. The suggested menu has all the vegetable carbs being consumed in one sitting, and the majority of the carbs not coming from vegetables, but from the CountDown milk and the shake product with no Fat grams being consumed at the same time. That is contrary to Atkins, but like I said if it helps you, I am pleased that you found that product.

I've actually looked into this stuff before...believe me...I'd sooner pick up an Atkins Advantage Bar...and even that I only do in extreme emergencies...

No one is trying to be negative. No one is trying to start a fight. You knew, or so you wrote, that people would not approve of these products, being not Atkins friendly. I don't understadn why you are taking this so badly. I eat a lot of soy-based products, because I am a vegetarian. I'm not condemning soy products, natural products, whatever. I'm just saying, the specific products you are advocating have the wrong proportions, too many carbs, too little fat, etc. And the fact that the milk and shakes probably contain sugar alcohols is dangerous to an Atkins eating plan.

Like I, and others, have said, it's a personal choice. If they work for you, by all means. But other people should also know the pontentially diet damaging aspects along with the diet boosting aspects.

Happy low carbing.
