| They cause stalls in nearly everyone that eats them, especially on a regular basis. They are truly evil in my opinion. Rich

| I agree. Many times they contain ingredients such as wheat flour and milk powder which aren't acceptable during induction. |

| It's the collective experience of ADBB that they do slow or prevent weight loss. However, it's a "your mileage may vary" type thing. So if you want to eat them, just know the short term and long term consequences.

| Thanks to everyone for stopping by. My question was has anyone managed to lose weight while eating atkins bars? I was hoping to hear from those who had. I've had the warnings coming down on me like a ton of bricks already, and my purpose in posting this question was to try to hear the other side of the argument, if there is one, and I am sorry I didn't make this clear in the first instance. I have been trolling the boards all day (done no work whatsoever) and found that a helluva lot of people on ADBB are eating a whole range of frankenfoods (not just atkins bars) to get them through the long months. it doesn't matter how anybody else reacted to them. your body is your body and comparing how someone manages the intake and how you manage it are two completely different things. helena, you are addicted to chocolate, you have a problem with splenda, if i read things right, so why set yourself up for a binge, a fall or whatever?

| I'm just bored bored bored with this WOE and wanted to find a way of getting through it for the long, long haul that I have ahead of me. I've dropped off Atkins so many times before, because of getting bored with it, and I hoped that this time I could find a way to stay on it. Moderators: Please shut down this thread. It's clear that there is only one answer to my question and I might as well not waste everyone's time in responding, since everyone is saying the same thing. Cheers, Helena |

| waterbabe_Helena what you want to ask is not only did they lose eating them, but were they able to maintain their weight loss afterwards. I don't know if you have Slimfast in the UK but many many folk will and do very successfully lose weight eating their bars and drinking their shake but when they get to goal because they didn't learn new eating habits they can't keep the weight off and are perpetual Slimfast customers year after year each time vowing this time I will not regain it. It is the practice we get eating and fixing the real low carb foods as a part of our menu that lets us keep the weight off as goalies.
