| Good for you! You're doing so well, and should be proud of your hard work. Glad you don't intend to go back to where you were... that's a great attitude. Don't be afraid of OWL... the extra food choices will be welcome and you do still lose... some people even find they lose more on adding extra veggies. I'll place bets that by the time you're nearer goal you won't even need the Atkins bars anymore! Whole, nutritious food is the way to go! Looking forward to seeing you amongs the goalies!!!

| thanks to all who replied! I can't find my Atkins book, and I really need to read up on OWL. I'll look for the info here. thanks for the support. This new phase is exciting, but I have to be careful, not to mess up. I was wondering, Can I eat ANYTHING now, as long as it is low carb? for example, can I eat Atkins cereal, and low carb tortilla [ 4 g. net carbs]. what about soymilk? half a cup would be 4 grams net carbs. thanks for the info in advance. mom-to-5 |

| No... in OWL you add foods in categories (rungs) starting with extra vegetables. You add 5g carbs at a time. It's all about experimenting with foods and seeing how various foods affect you. Also OWL's where you try to find your CCLL (critical carb level for losing). If I were you, I'd have a read of the stickies in the OWL forum so you know how to carry on. Happy losing!

| There's a carbohydrate ladder thread (it's a sticky near the top) in the OWL forum. That will help you alot. Don't be afraid of the rungs. I actually started losing more when I added in more carbs. You have so little left to lose that your progress will likely be a lot slower now. But DO add in more carbs... you'll need to get used to it for maintenance anyway. Congrautulations!! |
