| Hi Lauren, Oh yes, I have done that, so you're not alone at all with this. Not this time around, but before that's what happened to me...just one little piece of bread did me in, to start. It's good you caught yourself because mine turned into more than 50 pounds and more like years than weeks to get back on atkins, despite the fact I wanted get back with it so badly every day. We just keep learning from these times and getting better at it. Congratulations on your restart. You will do great now! |

| Lauren, a friend here once said that learning and becoming comfortable with Atkins is like learning to drive a stick shift. Lots of starts and stops, not very smooth, but soon, it's like second nature. Occasionally, if you're not paying close attention, you can still stall -- but you know exactly what to do and quickly restart and get going again. Good for you for getting back in the driver's seat so quickly. Best of luck to you! |

| Yes... you do have company on the 'falling off the wagon' thing. But it's great that you're now back on track. I'm sure you'll be able to learn from that little slice of bread and avoid similar pitfalls in the future. Your upcoming wedding is great incentive...but I'm willing to bet that if you get to goal for that happy event, you'll have the incentive to keep right on maintaining. Atkins really is 'for life'; but don't let that scare you... as time goes on it becomes easier and easier until it's almost a reflex action. Why not check out the Second Time Around Forum, where there are lots of people who've strayed from the Atkins way, only to return to success. Happy low carbing. You can do this!

| Good luck getting back on board! I will have been married 1 year in March!! The most important thing is making sure the dress you have is a comfortable fit. I wouldn't aim to lose too much weight and then have to get a new dress, lol. Just take it nice and easy, and if you end up taking off a lot of weight, make sure you have a good tailor's number on speed dial!

| I've been on and off Atkins so many times I have lost count. Don't beat yourself up...just get back on track. I know whenever I have said to myself "just a taste" it always turns into a two week binge. I love what Adena said about driving a stick shift, it is so true! |
