Default Small vitamin pills?

I hate taking my vitamins, ugh. I'm basically petite in every possible way, except my weight, and that seems to include having a very small mouth and throat. Trust me I hate going to the dentist, they always tear my lips . Well anyway, I was wondering if there are any smaller than typical vitamin pills out there, everything I've tried has been the same size. They always stick in my throat, even though I drink tons of water, and cutting them in half only makes them slice me up with sharp edges on the way down . Here's a photo for comparision, my fingertip vs the dang huge things, hehe. I might as well bite that off and try to swallow it .

I wish I could help you and hope that someone else has a suggestion because I would love a smaller pill. An alternative you might try (my wife does this sometimes) is to crush the pills back into more of a powder form and mix it in a small cup of water. Doesn't taste great but goes down quick.

Wish i had a suggestion for you...i take 4 different supplicments 3x a day and most are big enough to choke an elephant .

The liquid vitamins sounds promising, i used to have a friend that couldn't swallow any pills (gag reflex) and she was able to find different liquid medications etc through her pharmacy.

I would be careful crushing pills, Some are 'timed release' i think crushing them could be an issue with that.

One thing the nurse used to do when I was a nursing assistant was to take a pill cutter and cut the pill in half. It made it easier for swallowing as we had elderly patients that also had difficulty taking larger pills. A cheap pill cutter can be found at almost any Dollar Tree store, where it's only $1. If half a pill is too much, then I would suggest cutting it once again until it's where you can handle it. And use lots of water to wash down pills with. It helps it stop from getting stuck in the throat.

As for liquid vitamins, the ones I've tried are nasty tasting.

Crushing pills up is also an option, but then you sometimes have the pill slivers still sticking around. The nurse used to put those in applesause or yogurt for the patients. I tried it, as I hate big pills too, but had problems with the smaller pieces. Again, drink a good amount of water with this.
