Default Induction HELP!!!

Hello ,

I'm on day 8 and checked last night to see if I was in ketosis, I am according to the test strip light purple. I realized this mroning when I was making breakfast that the chicken I was using from my old supplies in the freezer (Purdue Short Cuts) had a low card count 2g but 1g of sugars. I almost freaked!!! will this hurt my induction? I assume I should be checking that their are 0g of sugars in all cases regardless of the carb count, correct?

Thank you for taking the time to assist.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. That isn't that much carbs and if you are already in keep ketosis I do no imagine that the chicken will cause a problem.

Thanks MaggieBE,

What about the sugar issue? are we looking at carb only or carb and always 0g sugars?

I would try and go for fresh cuts of meat as much as you can, instead of packaged meats as they will contain traces of sugar and nitrates that can make people stall. But some people can eat them and can still lose. If you find that you are stalling then cut them out of ur diet.

If sugar is in the ingredient list then you shouldn't eat that food. However I have before ate chicken wings and then looked at the bag and noticed sugar in the ingredient list with a small amount of carbs per servings. i never had any problems. However like anglestar said .....fresh cuts of meat are much better.
